Well now its only a matter of time till theres a SFM video of this featuring the Spy

Plus expect a million copy videos on youtube of it from universities, colleges and from every convention out there once it hits the radio, just like the previous one.

As for the song itself, not bad but Gangnam style was such a fluke of everything coming together, this I imagine wont do so well and the whole thing for me felt forced, like trying to be a gangnam 2.0

Funny thing is, that's the only silly/goofy Macklemore song. All the rest are fairly serious.

Oh....now I'm sad :'(

And you say most of Macklemore's songs are like that? All well. That was still a great song though, I might have to give him a bit closer of a look anyway. That was a pretty sweet song...he kind of reminds me of a young Eminem except he's not singing about killing his wife/mother. Like if you combined Sixx AM's "Heroin Diaries" with Eminem's "The Slim Shady LP".

Rap is normally something I can't stand but I'll maybe I'll pick "The Heist".
For the most part yeah. But some aren't that serious, but they're not as silly as Thrift Shop. But I highly recommend The Heist. It's a fantastic rap album. The production is phenomenal.

Here's an instrumental they did for the album:

Good, not as good as Gangnam Style.

I can see it still doing really well though, in fact I wouldn't be terribly surprised if it was the next video to hit a billion views on Youtube.

Mentlegen, I believe he farted in his hand, and put it in front of her nose; that's MY interpretation of it!

OT: it's alright, I guess. Not terribly interesting. Also, did PSY just pick his butt and make that girl eat it? O_O
The technical term for that manoeuver is 'a cupcake'.

It's pretty much the same dance as gangnam style, the horse move is better than the lightbulb hipshake by a mile. It's so damn catchy "gonna make you sweat, gonna make you wet" not really it's shit. Gym girl is pretty fit though.

Judging by the lyrics , it seems PSY has hit music career puberty.

The song is decent but will never hit the success levels of Gangnam Style , which is a damn shame because the music video is funny.

Yeah, the video is pretty much the video for Gangnam Style again. The song is catchy, but not nearly as catchy as its predecessor. New dance moves are a repeat, but not as funny.

I also liked PSY's previous female co-star better. What's her name, Hyuna or something. She seemed more into the silliness. Or was better at acting like it.

i dont think its going to carry the same success gangnam style did (the stance isnt quite as outrageous and not exactly the clubbing song gangnam style and thriftshop are), but it made my old roommate happy when i showed him and he's glad he's (somewhat) on top of it so he can show it to everyone this time.

Cant wait for the TF2 spy videos to this song.

Even if it's not anywhere as popular has his other one, i'll still have to hear it a gazillion times against my will.

Like most K-Pop I have had the 'pleasure' to listen to, I am almost completely indifferent.

This is literally the only reason I like this song.

eh, there's going to be a lot of shitty TF2 vids to this. the song itself isnt that bad but I dont mind K-Pop/J-Pop. So i dont mind the video and Im not really a big fan of TF2. Im just hoping they're mildly entertaining like the minecraft videos were to gangnam style.

Oh there will be. I have faith in the TF2 video-making community that resides in Youtube.

Once again, I am left with the impression that I am watching a parody of something that I am not aware of.
From what I read up about Gangnam Style, that's probably the case.
The afore mentioned was about people who weren't from the city Gangnam, who would use a saying they thought other folks from Gangnam said, that being "Gangnam style" like "Philly style" or "Los Angeles style". A way to sound cool/hip/credible.
Thing is, apparently no one who was actually from Gangnam actually said this, so folks who did say it outed themselves as posers.

That's just what I got from reading on it, I could be wrong.

It's not as quirky or as instantly catchy as Gangnam Style is, but I still really enjoyed the video. Kind of "more of the same" formula for Gangnam Style, and omitting Psy's M.C. Hammerpants I liked seeing more of Psy's style.

Man...I wish Psy spoke English :(
He does speak English, and very well for that matter.

OT: I like this (both the song and the video), but I don't see it becoming nearly as big as Gangnam Style.

You cannot deny, that guy has got bags of swag!!
Seriously, he's in competition with Yu for the swaggiest swagger in the history of swagiverse.

If they were ever to meet in person, the concentration of pure swag could disrupt the fabric of time and swag.

OT: It's funny, I just watched this for the first time not 15 seconds ago, tabbed back to the Escapist, and found this thread. Personally, I like this new song. It's not QUITE Gangnam Style, but still damn good. Catchy.

And to all the people who are saying he's just trying to replicate the success of Gangnam Style, I think it's less that, and more of a consistent style of his. This is just the kind of stuff he does. Gangnam Style just happened to be the one that got really popular.

And finally, I look forward to the inevitable tidal wave of PSY/TF2 crossover vids.

I'm listening to it currently... catchy again.

I really liked some of his previous stuff, prior to gangnam.

Ie.
Love the beat and the music in general. Good rhythm.

I liked the part where that crazy stuff happened, and then all of a sudden the video changed to the other crazy thing!

Also, Hammertime.

makes almost the same dance routine with different hand positions for his next video
Thinks this is 4Chan

OT: I like it. It's not like the lyrics matter in most american pop/club music anyway so not understanding the langue doesn't really matter. But then again I actually like some Black Eyed Peas songs so my opinion is invalid according to some people.
Capital "C"

OT:
I had to watch it simply because it is by the man who did the most famous song in the history of the universe and..... It's kinda lame.

The electronic buzzing in the background just annoyed the shit out of me.
