Publisher's Club.

So I have a question about the Publisher's Club. Mainly "Is it worth it?"

I've looked through everything it offers and I'm not sure if I would get everything I could out if it. The HD part isn't too huge as all I watch are ZP, EC, and the Movie Bob shows. I have an android tablet so I don't worry about watching show's on my Iphone. And a few other things as well.

I really want to support The Escapist, because I love their content.

Mainly my question is, to those who do have it, What do you guys do to get the most out of your Subscription so I can do the same.

What RSS Reader Apps do you use? Are the exclusive video's and forums worth it? and how do the podcast's work?

I hope to hear from you guys soon so I can make a decision soonish.

Neither of those should be there. I certainly don't get them.

Anyways, I'd say, if you want to support The Escapist, go for it. I initially joined for the exclusive forums; I was getting rather sick and tired of trolls at the time, but thats kind of lessened out now.

A lot of people join the Pub Club to support The Escapist, so you won't be there first to do so. Also, a lot of the Pub Club benefits may not seem like much, but they kind of add up to make this site just that little bit more awesome :3

(also, you should totally watch more shows, there are some awesome things on this place!)

BUT:

I'll be honest, I don't use the Reader App... Pub Club exclusive vids are very far and few between (plus not particularly great), forums WERE awesome but they've kind of died out more recently, aaand I've never used the podcasts

Nevertheless, I don't regret joining the Pub Club.

In the end, its down to you. I'd recommend it, but it also seems like the stuff you're looking for is very different from what I'm looking for.

Honestly, it's worth joining the PubClub just to remove the ads. I'd join some kind of premium YouTube and GameTrailers service if it would remove ads. And the forum title. Now i have a customisable forum title, i just can't do without it damnit! Oh and something about supporting the escapist. I suppose that feels kind of good too. HD videos are a nice perk. Not necessary, just nice. It's ultimately up to you - i'm on this site daily so i'm always getting benefits out of PubClub. If you only come once a week it might not be worthwhile for you.

I joined it for the HTML5 videos. I can view them on my iFasci-- er, iPhone. I can also download the videos and watch them offline if I want to.

I joined because £12.50 was nothing and the Escapist was donating half to LRR.

Also no adverts makes it so much faster it's unreal.

So if you're going to join, wait until Desert Bus For Hope.

Yeah, I don't get those. At all. Maybe clearing your cache/cookies might help? (80% computer illiterate here, am possibly wrong)

OT: I joined up because, well, I like this site and I'm horrendous with money. But lately, after having visited the site not logged in when on other computers and witnessed the eye-sore that is the ads nowadays, I am so, so, so glad I have it. SO GLAD. DEM ADS DAMN

Don't listen to the podcasts very often I'm afraid, nor do I use RSS feeds. So I'm no help for you there. The forums are all right but they're generally pretty dead except for a few forum game threads.

The biggest benefit for me is NO ADS and the warm gushy feeling that I did something to support a site I love. Not to mention being able to watch Miracle of Sound videos in HD =D
