Pullig the plug on APB

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I just found out that the developers of APB are pulling the plug on their game after 3 months! In my opinion this is kind of a dick move... I think they should try to improve their game before loosing all hope in their own project! Opinions?

Not really a dick move they're in administration and obviously talks with potential buyers haven't been going well they don't really have much choice left.
It is a shame though i rather liked it, yeah it had quite a few issues but was a lot of fun with friends.

They are in administration.

That's why you don't buy a MMOG, unless all the signs are positive.

No MMO to date has succeeded against WOW and the best possible outcome for a new, quality MMO is surviving in the margin.

Just what did you expect? APB got poor reviews. The game was bugged, incomplete, broken. This scares away players. Without enough players, there's no funds to fix the game. More players leave. Short viscious spiral. Totally expected.

I've never played it because I'm not into MMO's, but it's a shame for all the developers and other staff who are now out of work.

The devs sound like they were never quite happy with it, heck that's why some of them formed their own studio and ended up producing Crackdown 2.

Yeah I didn't have much faith in this one from the start. Best not to let it suffer a prolonged death.

I playe din the beta a bit. Have to say the actual game I saw wasn't all that great, but I hope the in-depth character creation gets used in... well, everything.
