No, I just mentioned it because I think its a Canadian military thing. Mckay does it on Stargate Atlantis, so I figured it would work for this too.Turkishchocolate said:Do you need to say "Zed" because that's how the French pronounce it?

Actually, my fellow Stargater (that sounded corny), "zed" is just how we (Canadians) say it, although the American "zee" seems to be creeping into our vocabulary the same way "feet" and "yards" did (you silly Americans and your silly measurements.)gamebrain89 said:No, I just mentioned it because I think its a Canadian military thing. That's far too insane. I don't want to get booted out before my time.jim_doki said:say you're looking for someone, and hold up a postcard of the south park Celine Dion
I'm not sure if I will be able to do that, but I think that's a mission right there!Zemalac said:Right. Here's what you need to do.
Get a motorcycle, first of all, painted black with flames. Then, while wearing your '30s mobster outfit (from the "Pics" thread, I'm assuming you still have it) drive the motorcycle off one of those modern drawbridges while it's being pulled up to let a ship through. And the bridge has to be on fire, and you have to be filming it. Then post that shit right up here.
I have no idea what that has to do with Canada or Vancouver, or if it is even physically possible, but damn if it wouldn't be cool.
Done and done. Maybe stick my hat down a make a few dollars... or not.Hey Joe said:I dare you to mime on the streets on Vancouver.
Miles? What's with that?PumpItUp said:Actually, my fellow Stargater (that sounded corny), "zed" is just how we (Canadians) say it, although the American "zee" seems to be creeping into our vocabulary the same way "feet" and "yards" did (you silly Americans and your silly measurements.)gamebrain89 said:No, I just mentioned it because I think its a Canadian military thing. And for the record, ZedPM sounds better than ZeePM.
A bit far. As far as I see, I'm only staying around the city, maybe venturing outside the limits every so often.josh797 said:can you get a picture of yourself near niagra falls? or is that too far?
Ooh, good idea. And what's Airsoft?Labyrinth said:Try Airsoft, at least once. I'm not sure if you'll be able to afford it, but it's worth a go.
Oh, and get a plushy Moose on a wire which you can walk around.
I'm leaving tomorrow, arriving Tuesday (which is the same day?! Time travel people!). I'll be leaving Canada the 26th of Jan. I think as it ducks off from peak season, all flight costs go down dramaticlly.smallharmlesskitten said:When are you leaving? and what are the costs looking like? Maple syrup on everything? I don't know, maybe I'll eat it with something obsucre just for you. Maple syrup hotdogs.jim_doki said:every meal must include either: a pork product of some kind, or maple syrup
Airsoft is basically paintball, but instead of guns which shoot paintballs, they shoot little plastic pellets that sting really bad when they hit you. It's more fun then I'm making it sound. btw, since when is that just a Canadian thing? I live in New Jersey and play it quite a bit.PurpleRain said:Ooh, good idea. The distance between vancouver and niagra falls is about equal to going from one end of europe to the other.josh797 said:can you get a picture of yourself near niagra falls? or is that too far?
Yea, that's kinda sad. It's the second largest country on the world. When you look at the map the first thing you usually notice is either Canada, Russia or America.Cousin_IT said:My dare: Dress in liederhousen [http://img.hexus.net/v2/gaming/screenshots/german.jpg], put on a Germanic/Scandinavian accent & insist on telling every Canadian you meet that you sympathize because as a Danish person, no one knows where your country is either.
