Here's the deal. Go to this site (http://www.random.org/dice/?num=2) and roll two dice. This is your number of reps. If even, do situps. If odd, do pushups. Do what you can, this is all about building confidence and getting a little exercise in. If you really can't do one exercise because of pain or injury, do the one you can.

Post how many and how difficult it was.

EDIT: 42 and not that difficult.

EDIT Mk.2: Inspirational music.

EDIT Mk.3: Now is the time to disprove the lazy gamer stereotype.

This reminds me of when we used to have to throw darts, and then multiply the score by an arbitrary number for pushups/situps as a punishment in army training. It was usually in the 100s/1000s, but you could keep track on a white board and work them off gradually D:

I got 11, whao. I'd, but my wrist needs surgery and that would be a terrible idea.

How exactly did you get 42 from two dice? I just rolled 6 and 3, does that mean I'm to do 9 push-ups or 63?

Sorry if I wasn't clear. The two dice form one number. I got a 4 and a 2, so that means 42. 6 and 3 would be 63.

I rolled a 21 when responding to your post. Easy.

Well, my hamstrings are pretty tight right now which may make this painful, but otherwise 63 shouldn't be a problem.

66 Sit-ups.

Yowch. After rolling the highest possible number I don't think I'll do that again.
Managed to, got quite difficult after the half-way point though.

I know you don't use them during a push-up, but they've been very tight the last few days from some manual work I did, so I was expecting some pain from keeping my legs straight and suspended. Turns out it wasn't painful at all. Luckily I didn't roll even because my lower-back is also pretty sore, and sit-ups are nightmarish for your lower back.

And yeah, 63 push-ups were easy enough.

Try working air chair (by seconds) and squats into it too. Exercise the whole body!

During breaks, I used to alternate pushups (15) and situps (30) every 15 minutes (which is basically every commercial break). That was fun.

I'll give it a shot. i like this when pumping iron....you may not...that's ok too.

I work out with a bunch of crazy guys. Music options are either: 1. Techno/Electronic music 2. Heavy metal.

Awesome idea. I'm thinking of torturing the escapist at least every other week with one of these threads. I'll try to switch up the exercises and music each time.
