I'm not sure if it has been done b4 but i couldn't ind it in the search bar.

Do you prefer lots of mediocre games (variety) or one brilliant game??? or maby a little bit of both. I think the industry is mainly turning to quantity and i think game quality is suffering (thats not to say their haven't been any good games recently).

Neither.

I enjoy it when there is a very small quantity of games that are made with very little quality.

Quality. I doubt anyone would choose Quantity. That would be like choosing the entire Guitar Hero catalog, except 1 & 2, over like, Half Life 2, or Mass Effect.

I prefer quality personally. I would rather play one game I love over and over. I am a die hard turn based rpg fan but it must have a story I like.

A combination really.

I game, at least in part, to spend time. One great game that will only last for an hour or two with no replayability isn't going to be too much fun.

On the other hand I don't buy more then 5-6 games a year either, so tons of mediocre games won't be played anyway.

Quality, of course.

Whats the point of having lots of games if your not going to enjoy them? 1 great game will outlast 100 mediocre ones (unless the disc breaks... >.>)

Quality all the way.

Classic example: Portal. Short but sweet.
ahh classic mind-f**k on joysticks

i'd have to go with quality on this one, variety is important though. i try to vary games over different consoles, well i did before my ps3 died >_<

A combination, i hardly am interested enough in a game to spend more than 2 or 3 playthroughs on it (and hardly more than 3 months online gaming), so even if i had one mindblowingly awesome game every 6 months, i'd still would want to have some other games to fill the gap, even if they are not AS good.

In a way, i'd choose Quantity as long as there is a minimum Quality

Why is this even a thread? Who wants to shell out $60 a year for a recycled game with the same features (and problems) from the previous ones? Oh wait... that sounds familiar. hm.

I suppose some people might choose quantity, but any true gamer should understand that well-made games far surpasses quickly-made ones.

Quality. Even if that would meant that I would get only 5 games a years.

Thank god that there are company like valve, bioware, cd project and dice (for multiplayer).

if it is 1 brilliant game then i'd choose the mediocre games.

i'd like a little more than 20 hours of godly gameplay.

Quality but I suppose I would hope that the quality would last me a long time. Brilliant as portal is it wouldn't be enough for me to go months alone on.

Quality. Although if you know where to look you could get a large quantity of quality PC games for £60.

Quality, but different genres and different games appeal to different people. I'm relatively pleased with the quality of the games industry today (though there's always room for improvement) since there's a high-budget quality game available for almost anyone.

Quality obviously. Thankfully I've been blessed with quality AND quantity lately (Demon's Souls, God of War 3, Uncharted 2). Yeah I love me some PS3 exclusives!

I don't prefer either. If I have enough to satisfy both. If I was forced to make a choice on the other hand, I expect I'd go for one game that rocks over several games that, like, don't.
