It's because you don't recall correctly. The reason Quarians wear suits is that their ships are all old, and may have atmosphere leaks and what not. It wasn't it cop-out, it's what they said in Mass Effect 1.Crayzor said:Something has been bugging me about the Quarians ever since I played Mass Effect 2. If I recall correctly, they have to wear their environment suits because they have lived in the sterile environment of spaceships too long. However, when you visit the Migrant Fleet in Mass Effect 2, all the Quarians there are wearing environment suits. Surely, if there are viruses in the Fleet that could infect the Quarians, their immune systems would never have degraded far enough for them to require the sealed suits.
In short, why do the Quarians need environment suits when on the Migrant Fleet? Is it just a copout by Bioware to keep what the Quarians look like a secret?
Also, why does Shepard need his suit sealed when on the fleet?

God damn it cut me some slack, i was busy playing...something else i'm sure. =PShoes said:*Slaps you*Cyanin said:didn't even play the 1st one, this is amazing though..poiumty said:Actually, they have to wear enviro suits because the climate of their home planet was mostly composed of beneficial or non-threatening organisms that did not trigger their immune systems to adapt and strengthen, which is quite unique in the galaxy. Some centures later after they lost their homeworld, sterile enviroments forced unto them by their enviro-suits have caused them to develop a sensitivity to even their home climate, if they were ever to return.they have to wear their environment suits because they have lived in the sterile environment of spaceships too long
Or something like that.
Understand that when I first bought Mass Effect I vowed to never sell it, now after playing both games I've promised myself that I will forever and always hold onto the trilogy of games and force my first born son to play through the entire series.Cyanin said:God damn it cut me some slack, i was busy playing...something else i'm sure. =PShoes said:*Slaps you*Cyanin said:didn't even play the 1st one, this is amazing though..poiumty said:Actually, they have to wear enviro suits because the climate of their home planet was mostly composed of beneficial or non-threatening organisms that did not trigger their immune systems to adapt and strengthen, which is quite unique in the galaxy. could be said that they're in their suits because shepard is there and they're allergic to him, If you read the books/codex, it's interesting to note that in fact the Quarian's immune system isn't destroyed, but rather is SUPER HYPERACTIVE to the point where they're allergic to just about everything.Crayzor said:Something has been bugging me about the Quarians ever since I played Mass Effect 2. In Ascension, it's said that the suits have become an important part of Quarian culture. To take them off, even around other Quarians is a deeply personal thing.Crayzor said:Something has been bugging me about the Quarians ever since I played Mass Effect 2. Exactly, because the fleet has so little space the suit sort of becomes your little private space.DustyDrB said:In Ascension, it's said that the suits have become an important part of Quarian culture.
