really? I mean seriously I don't mean to criticize but buy that logic how could you ever get a female charahcer right? I mean first their too weak then they are too manly?Imperator_DK said:I suppose one could say that Tarantino puts women into traditional male roles to some extent, assigning traditional core male values of physical dominance and aggression to his heroines, but that would probably be as controversial as it gets in this regard.
Tarantino might sexualize his heroines a fair bit, but he doesn't really objectify them - if anything, it's clear they're in control - and they're usually anything but weak and timid types who just lay down and take it.
I mean who says woman can't feel agression? and not in the "cat fight" sense in fact id say thats refreshing
anyway I love Taratinos films and I think he's one of the least mysoginist film people, he has female charachters that are capable and kick-ass (the bride, shoshanna) and arnt always sexualised unless its part of the story/film (Deathproof was ment to be an exploitaition film)
but mainly they are often an important part of the film, not just an obligitory love interest or token girl (ohh look how tough I am and now im going to dance around and fight this idiot henchmen in my heels! wooo)
