Question about N64 Game - Shadows of the Empire

I'm sure most people who owned (and still proudly do) a Nintendo 64 have or at least played the star wars game "Shadows of the empire"
I have a question about the ending

***Possible Spoilers*** (like anyone would actually care)


After you ('Dash' i think your name is), Fire the last torpedo into the core of 'skynet' (big base/weapon in space) who have to race out of it through a tunnel before it blows up. I beat the game on easy upon which the screen goes black when you reach the ending with a message appearing "Did Dash Survive? Beat the game of legendary difficulty to find out!"

As you can tell i never beat the game on legendary but i'm sure someone would have.
So, What is the ending on Legendary difficulty and did dash survive?

I beat it on Legendary, and yes, he did survive, btu he never tells anybody as he zooms off into space. His reason was "it's nice to be known as a martyr and still be alive, right?", but the actual reason was that they never wanted to make another game with him in again. Seriously, it started off alright, but then tried to be everything and phailed utterly.

Shadows was probably my favourite game on the N64, after Mario, I never comnpleted it, only got halfway through before i gave up, might dig it out of the attic though!
