So this is going to sound weird but i want to know if my PC can run TF2 at a reasonable frame rate. Most of my friends are PC gamers and i want to play with them but my laptop is pretty crappy and i don't have the cash to buy a new one (I'm in high school and don't have the cash). I am mostly concerned with the processor.

Here are the specs:

-Intel core i3 2.20GHz dual core (4 threads)
-Windows 7 64 bit
-4Gb ram
-Directx 11
-Integrated graphics card
-500Gb hard drive

Your grandma's toaster can run TF2. Source engine is a marvel of software engineering. It runs on anything. Your CPU is fine for TF2. The GPU is more important.

Yeah, graphics card might be a problem. But seeing as it a) runs on Source and b) TF2 is a few years old, even a new one capable of running it won't be expensive.

Not knowing what your GPU is I can't say for sure, but it will probably be able to run TF2. It can run on just about anything.

I used to run it on a very similar HP laptop in highschool, along with all of the other Source games. You'll join friends just fine you'll just have a bit longer load times, but never anything too bad, the loading screens always act slow but after they're done the game should run just fine.

As others have said, it's a bit hard to say but you could just...well try it. It's free, so why not? You can use cl_showfps 1 to turn on the FPS counter.

I've ran TF2 with Integrated Graphics for a while and it ran fine. Then again, I had 8gb of RAM, but either way Source is a 9 year old engine and could run on a potato with a few wires stuck through it.

This website isn't very good for laptops. It has a hard time identifying the actual power of mobile GPUs so it either auto passes or auto fails them when it sees one.
