For those of you planning to pick up Final Fantasy XIII, which version will you be getting?

Yep. Pretty much sums it all up. FFX was pretty good, but JRPGs are not my cup of tea.

None of these options, I suppose. I stopped at Final IX, and definitely lost hope for the franchise at X.

Hear people whine about disc swapping...so what? Minor inconvience you have to actually move? Ah well.

Looking forward to it myself once it arrives! Not been excited about a game for a long time!

There's not option for not buying it, but I'm gonna go with the 360 since that's the only console I would buy of the two. That and it's where I do most of my achievement whoring. Not that I'd play it any less on the PS3 version, but it's nice being able to keep as many points in one place as possible.

Edit: Also, it's cool to see that this poll (at time of posting at least) is so evenly divided. It really shows that going multiplatform with the series was the right choice for Square.

PS3 at least for graphics sake. I probably wont get it to later in the year but Ive seen the difference in graphics between them and though I'm a die hard 360 gamer I would rather have it on the PS3.

I guess the PS3, never have played a final fantasy game before, would it be recommended I play any of the others in the series before I get this one?

I will probably not get either but I have a 360 so I would get that if I had to choose one.

I'm getting it for the 360, even though I have both systems. I'd rather play on Xbox Live, I like the controller on the 360 better, and after seeing the comparison shots between the two versions there's not enough of a graphical difference to really make me care.

Plus I have a 360 in another room as a media extender, so I can always move in there if the wife gets cranky

Only ever liked final fantasy: advent children movie. I mean, i've seen the trailer for the new one n i was actually tempted but i doubt i will

Someone said the gameplay looks better on 360 and the (infuriatingly emo crap) cut scenes look better on the PS3.
Now I wonder if the gameplay does look better on 360... any links with actual comparison?

Tut tut, Virgil, I am disappoint. What about if the platform we use isn't getting the game. Why should we be left out of the poll, just because the shitbox broke again and I have no way of getting the drive open???

Yes, I am having a laugh, but not getting thanks to my dead 360 and lack of a PS3 console / PC port.
