I'll go play old DDR or Stepmania if I want music and dance. Because Dance isn't cool, it's all about flashy colors and ridiculous Japanese flavored techno.

Techno music is from the USA... and (for what I have seen) the game focus on the actually 'Professional (funky) style' not the funky&drunky one...

Konami is a Japan based company.
Most of the music has Japanese lyrics.
DDR is a game that I liked a lot of the music from.

Dance central comprises 50% songs I hate, 49% songs I have never heard of, and 1 song I know, and don't necessarily 'like'.
