I didn't know there were any other games besides The Last Guardian and the Ico/SoTC collection.

I know, right? I thought that this was actually the entire point of the whole game show, was just to remind people these guys exist. I can't wait until the remake and Last Guardian come out... So exciting!

Out of the ones picked, though, I was hampered in one way or another by all of them... Mega Man Universe sounds cool but the look of it freaks me out a lot. I wish they'd just let you have, say, 16 bit sprites like the X series. Fable never captured me even though I like a lot of the ideas behind it, I was quickly tired of the first Deathspank and don't have high hopes for the next, and I know really nothing about the new Castlevania game (a thing that needs rectification fast).

That left LittleBigPlanet, which I definitely want to get, but still. Not as exciting as Team ICO!

I can honestly say I don't give a shit about anything on that list but I am sure as shit excited for The Last Guardian and Final Fantasy Versus XIII (not sure if that was shown).

Fallout: New Vegas.
Was there a lot of coverage of that at TGS?
Aside from Vegas, I'm most looking forward to some good Marvel vs Capcom 3 button mashing.

Did they show that too? I'll have to check it out. I've been waiting for that since I finished SOTC four years ago.

Now if they would only announce Elder Scrolls V....

Of the ones listed, Fable 3, not because I'm particularly interested in Fable 3, but because it's the only one coming out on the PC. Since I don't give a rat's arse about games not on my platform this also means I have zero excitement for them. So ANY anticipation is greater than none.

Of the ones not listed, probably the new Deus Ex.

Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to give a big middle finger to every game coming out for the PS3 AND the 360, but not for the PC. Screw you, arseholes! (this is mostly directed at Project Dark)

Yeah, but they were still pretty tight lipped. Release date is scheduled for Fall 2011.

They showed a brief gameplay trailer but beyond that not much. Ueda talked about the game, but didn't mention too much. They sure do love keeping me on edge...

I would be much happier if Kojima kept his grubby mitts off of Castlevania.
He needs to go back to Boktai.

Not really. It was tucked away in some off corner behind some sheets. But it was there. Hell I didn't even know it was there until I saw some gameplay footage and a review from a magazine editor that went there and played it.

Big chunk of info about how Melee works.

Have you seen some of the Japanese NV marketing? They're directly attacking JRPGs. It's funny.
I'll have to look up that melee data. With ammo having weight in hardcore, I was thinking about making my melee character my hardcore mode go to.
Yea, I love the marketing they've done in Japan. It's funny because it was the jrpgs that originally got me into rpgs back in the day with things like Phantasy Star (2&4 especially) and Dragon Quest/Warrior. They were very similar to the wrpgs of the time except they had better artwork, better stories (ironically the jrpgs had the original stories and the wrpgs had very cliche plots and archetypes), and more variety. The problem I think is that their game content didn't really expand (in fact in many ways jrpgs have shrunk) or evolve much since that time while the wrpgs have grown quite a bit to the point where they now have more content with more original stories and archetypes.
