Hello everyone, I have some questions about ME3 that I'd like to know about.

1: The ending you choose sets the colour of the crucible beam. Is this actually indicative of the kind of "moral" ending you chose?

2: The end cutscene where the Normandy has crash landed only ever see's 3 of your crew mates survive. Is this random or actually based on something? I was upset that I didn't see Garrus, that's all.

3. With the mass relays destroyed, what becomes of the intergalactic community now that they can't travel between systems? Do they all revert back to pre-FTL travel times?

I chose to keep the Collector base, had over 5000 effective military strength etc.

1. This pretty much sums it up: http://ferretbrain.com/articles/article-853

2. It's random. It might include your love interest and/or your favorite companion. Fun bonus: It will even include said individual if they are dead! Good times.

3. No one knows. Presumably this is an example of the "LOTS OF SPECULATION" the ending was intended to provoke.

LOL that article was brilliant. Very satirical. "I'm Buzz Aldrin. Buy DLC." Made me laugh!

Yeah sometimes it was Ashley (who was my love interest) and sometimes it was Javik, who was my second favourite squadmate, Garrus was number 1. DAMMIT GARRUS. He got to heaven before me, I'll find him at the bar.

I get the whole "speculation" thing, but I prefer a straight answer. :(

1: The colour is a bit of a confusing topic because of the link between colour and alignment. Throughout the game we got used to the idea of Paragon=Blue, Red=Renegade. But with the final choice, the decision that the Illusive Man would have taken is blue, despite being the iconic renegade character. Just like Anderson's choice is red, while Anderson is the iconic Paragon character. This gave credit to the idea that the colours were an attempt at manipulation on part of the Reapers, but since Bioware isn't going for that, the colour now just seems odd.

2: You'll most likely get your love interest, or the squadmates you traveled to the beacon with. Even if you saw them dead on the ground oddly enough.

3: This has been a huge criticism of the ending as it implies wiping out the relays stranded all the races in Sol which would naturally cause starvation and mass extinction. When people realized this it just made the players feel like it may have been best for the galaxy if Shepard just fell off the cliff on Eden Prime than go through everything he/she did.

However, someone at Bioware made the point that apparently FTL can travel between systems (just slowly compared to the relays) but also that new, more efficient methods of interstellar travel will be made from the technology the races collect from the Reapers. Of course, we had no idea this was the case which is still bad story telling on Bioware's part, it'll probably be one of the things they address in the extended cut.

I watched the documentary and it seemed very interesting, it's a theory that at least has evidence for it.

When is the DLC out?

From what i've been able to gather, the characters that appear escaping the normandy at the end are always joker and the two characters you have the most "social points" with. this is determined pretty much by how much u talk to the character, if their your romance choice and how often you take them on missions.

See, I never understood how people could miss that ships had FTL capability when inter-system travel (within clusters) on the Galaxy Map is pretty clearly done with just a ship and not a Relay. Sure, they'd have to have refueling ships for Relay-distance travel, but it's definitely not impossible.

1. There are many theories on this, but I feel the answer is no.

2. It is Joker and 2 other not-so-random squadmates, every time.

3. Not much happens to the intergalactic community:

According to BioWare devs/writers the council races re-establish the Mass Relay network in a couple of decades.

As for the fleets surrounding Earth when this all goes down: the Quarians can solve all problems. They have their own liveships, so they can grow their own food, and they have the technology to keep millions alive without a planet so I am sure they can help everyone else out with all the resources of Earth at their disposal.

And while everyone is waiting for the Mass Relays to be rebuilt the Alliance can use the advanced communication technology they installed in the Normandy to allow Shepard to talk to anyone in the galaxy in real-time to keep everybody in the loop.

Hehehe, don't we all.

1: The ending you choose sets the colour of the crucible beam. Is this actually indicative of the kind of "moral" ending you chose?
There is a ton of debate on this. Somewhat yes, somewhat no. They are not morality defined, but the colour coding does somewhat apply to the sort of decision they are. E.G: Wiping out the Geth and EDI so that you can stop the Reapers not matter the cost is a Renegade decision, no question about it, however controlling them is that vague that it could be any sort of decision.

2: The end cutscene where the Normandy has crash landed only ever see's 3 of your crew mates survive. Is this random or actually based on something? I was upset that I didn't see Garrus, that's all.
Joker, LI and best relationship squadmate. In Synthesis, Joker, EDI and LI.

3. With the mass relays destroyed, what becomes of the intergalactic community now that they can't travel between systems? Do they all revert back to pre-FTL travel times?
Speculations, though Bioware seems set on the path that they magically reconstruct all the relays in under 100 years or something. We'll see in the extended cut.

I chose to keep the Collector base, had over 5000 effective military strength etc.
Until Extended cut, and if I'm being entirely honest, likely afterwords as well, this information means absolutely nothing.

Slight problem. 1. The Normandy is crashed somewhere unknown. 2. The communications is quantum entanglement communications. It only connects to a pair that it was entangled with. For galaxy wide communications, Quantum Entanglement communicators would have had to have been set up pre the Reaper war, and not destroyed doing it. Not impossible, but unlikely seeing as they used Com Buoys so much.
