is it worth the 10 dollars to unlock the Catwoman story? (bought a used copy so no usable redeem code came with it)

I think so. I enjoyed playing as Catwoman far more than I enjoyed playing as Batman. She's faster in combat, and you also get to see characters that only appear in her storyline.

I think the Catwoman part of the game is about 1-2 hours, so it's not a huge element but still significant.
Like Sniper I also found Catwoman fun to play, she is more squishy but faster so it takes a different playstyle. If you like doing the arcade like fighting games outside the story you can play Catwoman in those as well.

Yeah I think it's worth $10 if you like the game in general.

I'm pretty sure you should also get her respective stealth and combat challeneges so I'd say quite a lot. Her story isn't that long but keep in mind you can explore Arkham with her as well. Not mentioning numbers because my pace is radically different to the norm.

If you like Arkham City then it is worth the $10. It fills in the little details that happen behind what is happening with batman and you get a few locations you can enter (like Poison Ivy's building for instance). I also find that Catwoman plays better combat wise than Batman anyways.

Many people seriously disliked the Catwoman sections too. She does not move around now nearly as well as Batman because she can't glide and her missions just felt like filler.

It's an enjoyable change of pace from Batman's play style. Catwoman can't take as much damage and the climbing mechanic takes a little getting used to, but her greater agility and the ability to crawl upside down on grates offsets that. I find that I have loads more fun playing as her in brawls as well. Half the fun is just watching the crazy moves she can pull off. Of course, it probably helps that I find her *ahem* easy on the eyes.

I find her abilities to be lacking during Predator segments, however. It's harder to make a quick getaway without tools like the grapnel gun and zip line, and you're in for a world of hurt if they start shooting you.

In all, I'd say it's worth the purchase if you plan on exploring everything the game has to offer.

I do agree that her timed-climbing action is a bit jarring, along with the whip-flying, but I feel this is more than made up for by her movement in combat. She is far more fun to play as than Batman simply because she is faster. If she had the same gadgets Batman had I'm not sure if I'd keep playing Arkham City as Batman aside from when I want to unlock his Riddler challenges.
