I'm kind of bamboozled on an early quest here. Not the quest itself, but I'll explain. In spoilers, just in case. Probably doesn't need them given it's spoilers for stuff early in the game, but I once got chewed out for writing about the plot of Fable 2 without spoilers about more than a year after the game came out, so I'm playing it safe.
Really, if you've played the game up to Gran Soren, you're safe.

After you cut off the head of the Hydra that attacks the encampment, you get approached by some dude from Cassardis with a quest to find a girl named Quina in Witchwood. Quest name is "Lost and Found", for reference.
I know that at some point after you get to Gran Soren that quest randomly cancels itself. My question is... is there a specific thing you need to do that cancels it, or is simply going to Gran Soren enough to cancel it?
Because I really want to do this quest but the bandits on the way to Witchwood just kick the shit out of me, mostly because I'm a flimsy-arse Mage, my pawns are all fucking morons with no survival instinct and I swear one of those fucking bandits is immune to magic because nothing I throw at him seems to make a scratch (plus he can kill me with a long-reaching melee attack in like 2 hits so fuck him).
I just don't see a way of doing this quest without the experience and equipment you gain from getting to and shopping in Gran Soren, but I'm not sure what to avoid doing so the quest doesn't cancel itself.
