Compare Harry Potter and The Aeneid. That's something my Classics teacher pointed out to the class on Wednesday. If you're not feeling up for a challenge then try Aeneid compared with the Iliad and Odyssey. The Aeneid is basically 1/2 Odyssey, 1/2 Iliad...

Sucks to be you. I got my procrastination over in like...early high school. And on the occassions that I do run up to the deadline, I certainly accept I goofed and attempt to do better next time.
I don't know what I would do, but I don't know if this is the most honest way to go about getting a topic. Not that your teacher and I shall ever meet, and even if we did, I wouldn't know you, so I couldn't rat you out. But seriously.

If it's a rather old lady marking it then you would be better to pick a more general knowledge topic than pop. culture. Also what level of education are you at? a one page essay doesn't sound like anything above a secondary school homework, and a lot less will be expected than a higher education essay.
I would say pick a general topic you are interested in and compare two thing you have a good knowledge of: Two Historic assassinations, two similar books, Two paintings, McDonalds and Burger King.
If the brief is "compare two items" Then what you compare doesn't really matter. The focus will be on how deep your comparison is.
