So the other day there was a sale on Steam for Psychonauts for 2 bucks so of course I bought it. When it first started out, it was fine but then I got to the part where Coach Oleander wanted you for Basic Braining and when it was loading my game froze up. This happened about 3 times and then for some reason it worked again. After that, Sasha comes up to you and gives you a button that you need for the isolation chamber... see, when I got to the chamber Raz tells me that the button that he gave me is used to start the thing but now the button is missing. Is this a glitch or is there a mini quest where you need to find the button? Please help, because this game is pretty fun, but I'm not sure what to do. I've checked every single area and can't find it anywhere.

If i recall correctly you theres a cutscene in which Rax placese's the button in the chamber, so mayby thats where your button went. Other then that i don't recall to much, mayby look around the chambers more?

double check gamefaqs.com before writing it off as a glitch. I remember the part you're talking about, and thought it seemed confusing. When I got down to Sasha's lab, I didn't really understand how I'd gotten there.

Try putting the button in the middle of the red patterned fabric in the isolation chamber...hopefully, that works for ya.

EDIT: try showing the button to people. maybe the game won't let you in until you trigger the main character thinking something like 'oh, I must need to go there'

Edit: I just realized I misread the question. I would delete this post if I knew how.

Well I would remember him putting the button in the chamber and I've looked all around. He's supposed to be carrying it and he's not right now. The reason why I'm concerned is because I've had a couple of technical difficulties before with the game as I mentioned above.

Are you sure the button didn't just end up in your inventory?
this could also have happened. Psychonauts is not very user friendly, in that it won't really tell you what most of the controls are. Pause your game, and look around for the controls so you can find how to open your inventory.
