Another religious group refusing to update to modernized standards; unfortunately not that surprising.

Sounds like other (more violent)extrimists to me but these people are closer to home, so the correct response is to hit them with the literature of the other faiths and whatever crazy stuff they read, Then put them in the corner where and let them think about what they did... I mean Confession!
Besides "treat thy neighbor as thy self" applies on a global scale. So ironically they're going to hell in their religion too.

Ugh, there's a billion reasons why I bailed on that garbage religion (or escaped, as I like to put it). *adds one more to the list*

? Christianity is actually a pretty cool religion. I was reading me some bible the other day (I'm Buddhist by choice), and a lot of the metaphors made sense.

It's like any religion. Lots of good lessons, but there will be people who are Class-A morons who happen to be of that faith.

Guh, STAY AWAY. Seriously. The religion attracts more insane abusive types than any organization should. The book itself is packed with lies and inconsistencies (and one heck of a petty, jealous, flat-out murderous deity). I'm just gonna quit there, before I get put on probation for... something. Not that I'd notice, considering I barely post here.

I'm an athiest and have read the bible. The book itself to me is just stories that are meant to be interpreted. I just think that lots of people are a bit zealous in their interpretations, hence religion.
