True, that's probably the better ending of the two, and that line just brings on a slew of emotions. Although, there is a 'secret' ending for the hardest difficulty where she doesn't die, but apart from that it's basically the same.Mr.Tea said:The end of Max Payne 2 was awesome as well; Mona dies in his arms, but he says she brought him to a moment of clarity... and his final line: "I had a dream of my wife. She was dead, but it was all right." Fade to black, cue credits. He is truly at peace here as well.Daniel_Rosamilia said:This one from Max Payne:
'They were all dead. The final gunshot was an exclamation mark on everything that had led to this point. I released my finger from the trigger, and it was over."
It's a sort of closing for that chapter of Max's story. He's finally at peace (or as close as he will get) with what's happened to him. And then Max Payne 2 rolls around.
THIS IS HOW YOU DO A SAD ENDING WELL, MAC WALTERS AND CASEY HUDSON!

I love that line too, along with many others from that game.
The one line that always sticks out in my mind is from the "Godfellas" episode of Futurama.
The last line in the episode spoken by the godlike entity... "When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all."
It just made me think about all the possibilities of life & existence.
