Sorry for your loss man. I've lost many a pet in my time. I don't think my dog has too many years left ahead of her :/

I had to put down my dog after many many years of being a fantastic dog.
That was hard for the whole family. It really is losing a friend.

I lost my cat Sossy (as in sausages) when I was nine, he was a fantastic cat, big and adventureous. I loved him so much.
I still miss him.

What a pretty horse. Sorry about your loss.
I haven't lost a pet yet. I'm prepared to deal with his death. But I think I won't be when it happens.

Dogs and horses are probably the 2 animals I really get sad about when they are put down.

My dog and best friend was put down October the 17th., 2008. I usually don't cry, but seeing him getting sleepy because he had received the drugs, I couldn't hold back. I just held him close and stroke his head until he was 'fast asleep'. I'm almost crying now because I'm thinking of it, damn.

I REALLY feel sorry for your loss!

I know it sounds hollow over a forum, but I'm sorry for you =[

And I'm pretty certain my dog will have to be put down this year, he's pretty much unable to walk anywhere now. I've had him since I was 4..

*hugs*
I'm sorry hun :(
At least she's not in pain anymore.
I can feel your pain, it was my uncle's funeral today and my mum has had about 3 breakdowns. :/

I've only lost a few pets that I've been old enough to remember, a few of them ran away like my most recent cat Lulu. I walked the streets till 5am looking for her for a couple of nights.

It's sad when that happens. My old dog had a seizure, couldn't walk anymore, my dad had to carry him everywhere.

That old pup was in bad health since the day he was born. Or rather, since he ate a rosebush as a puppy.

I had a cat since I was 2 and started being able to remember things. When I was 13, close to 14, he died of a heart attack (and yes, there was screaming). I was rather depressed for a few days afterwords. Ironically, when my grandma died of cancer a week later, I wasn't really sad about it at all.

I lost my fourteen-year-old cat a few months back.
Admitedly, I lost him to a car, so it isn't quite the same.
However, I do (sort of*) know what it feels like to lose a non-human part of the family.
You have my deepest condolences.

[small]*When my cat died, I could feel nothing other than apathy. I know how it feels because my mother, brother and sister cried for nigh on two weeks.[/small]

Never liked horses. -.-
Just because you don't like them doesn't mean they should be dead.

Sorry to hear about your loss. About a year ago my dog, Hulk, had to be put to sleep due to severe intestinal issues. I raised him since he was a puppy, and he died at the tender old age of 12. Best friend I ever had. I'm now raising one of his puppies, named him Mal, and damn if he doesn't already remind me of his pop.

I lost my murderous, partially insane cat not long ago. He'd try to kill people all the time. His tricks varied from intentionally leaving toys on the stairs (he looked around to make sure nobody was looking before dropping them - if he saw you looking, he'd carry them elsewhere innocently), to perching on top of a door so that when someone comes through it he could leap down onto them and give them a heart attack. He tried to smother a friend of mine in his sleep by laying on his face and putting his paw down his throat, and would generally scare the bejesus out of anyone who wasn't expecting his pop out of nowhere and dart away antics.

God, I miss that cat.
