This is really a sad thread, but when you say that, there's only one thing I can think of:

I know, it's really cruel :(

At least she's not in pain anymore.
I can feel your pain, it was my uncle's funeral today and my mum has had about 3 breakdowns. :/

I've only lost a few pets that I've been old enough to remember, a few of them ran away like my most recent cat Lulu. I walked the streets till 5am looking for her for a couple of nights.

i'm sorry for your loss to

T__T

when i go to devon I'll be like ''ohh lets go see--...oh''

thank you for your kind words

I'm really sorry to hear about that.

When I was nine, my first guinea pig Hazel was put down, we'd only had her 3 months so that was pretty hard. Then five years later her sister Silver was also put to sleep, and that hurt too.

I think the worst was my brother's hamster being put down two months after my gran died, we were still in shock from her death so losing Cassius was really difficult. It's also the only time ever that I've seen a dead animal up close, so yeah, that sucked.
i wish i was there to hold her as she went...i feel bad that i wasnted there.

thank you for you comment means a lot

We currently have 2 cats, our first pets, and had them since I was about 10/11 and I love them both, they were seriously awesome cats, and it's going to massively suck when they go. And I probably won't be at home when it happens (off to uni in September, the cats are currently 7 and 10) which will make it suck even more :(

Losing a pet... er huge animal always sucks, had to put my dog down last year.... the worst thing ever.

Though you must forgive me... it's difficult for me to sympathize with you since not all of us are lucky enough to own horses.... but it does blow.

Well, then you and that horse have something in common. People don't like you.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, user name taken. I remember when my dog had to be put down due to severe arthritis in both his back legs (he was a big dog, and that's common in dogs his size). When I took him into the room where they were going to put him asleep, the vet told me I should probably leave now. As I was walking out, I looked back and saw him looking right at me, as if to say "Where are you going? These people are strange. I don't know where I am." I walked out and realized that I just left my best friend to die alone in a strange place. I hated myself so much after that. I would've given anything to go back and do it differently. I still miss him. That was four years ago.

None-the-less. No one should be happy that your horse died because they don't like horses.

I know it sounds hollow over a forum, but I'm sorry for you =[

And I'm pretty certain my dog will have to be put down this year, he's pretty much unable to walk anywhere now. I've had him since I was 4..
It's sad when that happens. My old dog had a seizure, couldn't walk anymore, my dad had to carry him everywhere.

That old pup was in bad health since the day he was born. Or rather, since he ate a rosebush as a puppy.
The same thing happened to our old dog who was 15 when his legs finally just stopped working. =[
(except for the bit about the rose bush, as far as I am aware.)

It's the curse of having pets, that you will almost always outlive them. And the more obviously sentient animals such as dogs, cats, horses, and really just anything that visibly returns your affection, will always become a non-official family member, making things much harder =|

I have pet ducks too, and you don't get the same connection, although it's still sad when they go.

I'm so sorry to hear about that, I've only ever had a cat called Marmalade, and it was so hard to say goodbye. Its why I cant bring myself to have another animal friend in my life, your so much stronger than me.

With the exception of parrots, I guess. At a lifespan of 80 years, they'll likely outlive their owners.

They bite, though.

I'm sorry for your loss. Did she have long glorious 80's hair-metal hair like the one in the pic? My dog will probably pass soon, I think he's somewhere between 13-15 now. He's very healthy for his age but I can't get it out of my head. I'm probably going to miss him more than I would a good friend. I still love my friends but, my dog is where it's at.

You're not evil, you're just an ass. Do you seriously think the thread was somehow improved by your messed-up contribution? Do you sit somewhere and get happy thinking about all the death and loss in this world? Are you twelve? Get some therapy, you sorely need it.
HahaHA...
I don't really get happy thinking about all the death and loss in this world.
But it still doesn't change the fact that I don't like horses nor dogs in that matter of fact, and that I want them ALL DEAD.
And... do twelve year old kids go around thinking about killing off animals?
As for therapy I tried it once and she thought me to be a really nice person, even gave me her number.
