Racing games for Xbox 360

I was wondering if anyone knew any good racing games for Xbox 360, preferably ones that do not rely to much on online multiplayer but more local multiplayer?

Isn't Forza on the XBOX? Isn't that THE racing game for XBOX? What do you want? Sim like, (buy a PC) or arcadey, (NFS/Burnout/Flatout) or a Kart game (Blur?)?

There's Pure and Split/Second you can get in which the latter you get to dodge... actually, it's too awesome to spoil

Ooh! Ooh! Burnout Paradise! That game is amazing, there's so much to do, so many cars, so many places to explore, and the online multiplayer--

preferably ones that do not rely to much on online multiplayer but more local multiplayer

...well, dammit. Burnout Paradise has no local multiplayer out of the box, and even after buying the proper DLC (which is absolutely ridiculously priced), it's not split-screen, just a turn-based score battle. Sigh. Guess I can't win them all...
