why is it a big deal if a white man is racist to a black man

Double standard

Some people think that minorities get the luxury of being racist to white people because white people did it for so long. Let's all forget the meaning of equality and just turn it around to in essence make minorities superior.

Well considering whites were racist and done horrible things towards:

Native Americans
Blacks
Asians
Latinos
Middle easterners
Hindus
Jews
and even their own women. (You know not having any civil rights and all)

I can see why being ignorant towards them is acceptable.

It's ridiculous. What happened hapenned, but now everyone's equal. There shouldn't be freaking out over black racism, or not being politically correct, but there is over stereotyping of hillbillies. I don't like it one bit, and I know I'm basically holding a sign that says "FLAME PLEASE?!" In flashing bright letters, but there should be no freaking out over stereotyping of anyone. It's just this "racist blanket" some people like to throw over certain topics and such.

I think on some level the black communities of America allow the past to effect them too much instead of just simply overlooking it and trying to better themselves. In a way their own self observation of themselves can be a deathblow to whatever pride they have. Then again being raised by those who saw rampant racism growing up in the 1960's and prior are going to be told how the world percieves them and such.

And at last I must say that just because racism existed once upon a time in America that doesn't mean that any advantage should be given to you because you find it more convenient.

Exactly. No one's that racist now, so stereotyping of southerners... (actually, that's the only white stereotype I can think of) should be treated the same way as any other stereotype. Which is not being treated at all. As I said, It's a joke, and if black people didn't like it, they would say something. They don't need hippies saying it has to be "politically correct" for them.

Perosnaly I dont give a shit, Im nor racist nor would I ever judge anyone by where there from rather I judge them as assholes if they exhibit those qualities, nor am I going to apoligise for what some pricks did a few hundred years ago I own no slaves nor have I ever enslaved someone, nor have I ever killed anyone for their land.
