RAGE causing RAGE

So I finally finished installing RAGE only to not be able to play it.

I double click on it, the launching window comes up for a few seconds and disappears and then the wheel starts turning on my cursor and then nothing.

I'm running on Windows 7 with a computer more than capable of running the game.

If google has told you nothing (which I doubt, you can't be the only person with this issue), then you're better off hitting up id's customer service than posting on here expecting help.

Unless you were just posting to vent, in which case: That kinda sucks I hope you get it sorted out.

Make sure you update your drivers to the recommended ones

When I do Google, I just get a load of threads on Steam that have the same topic with posts by other people saying that they have the same problem.

This is the reason i like consoles. granted the PC is better for practically everything, except when you buy a game for PS3, it works no matter what, unless the disc is defective. Hope you figure it out dude.

Right click the game in your steam library then click properties and then the local files tab and validate your game files, if that checks out and the game still doesn't work try restarting your comp, if that still doesn't work then you might need to uninstall and reinstall it.

Sorry, you either read my text again (because the answer is right there) or you try and find out on your own where that setting is. You are a smart lad, you are entitled and capable of learning and experiencing something yourself. Especially if it's about your game machine, that very thing that makes you one of the glorious PC Gaming Master Race. It's a harsh life lesson but the rewards are well worth it.

Not fucking true dude. Consoles crash too.

PS3? rarely. I've had mine since 08 and it's never failed once. every game i wanted to play it worked, day 1, every time.

Exactly why I bought rage for xbox, I just put it and play, no compatibility issues, no textures problem, nothing wrong so far and never had an xbox crash or anything.
