I'm sure even the most quiet and reserved gamer has had their spouts of anger when playing. I think the most angry I have ever been was when playing Assassin's Creed: Revelations on the one sequence, note: I was completing the game with 100% in all missions/memory blocks, and too obtain 100% for this particular mission, you could not take ANY DAMAGE WHATSOEVER
when in Cappadocia when you must scale the giant pillar in the center of the city, cross a path of scaling the caves edges and then fighting about 10 groups of brutes while being shot at by arrows while being in what is basicly a hallway, then lighting TNT to distract the city.

I must have restarted at least 20 or so times, thats not an exageration, literally I was hit, shot, thrown, and fell 20 times. I finally had reached the end of the damn hallway and just as I went to light the TNT, a glitched happened where I ended up running the wall instead of activating the objective and I jumped off the edge and hit the floor after about the 75 or so foot drop.

I screamed, dropped the controller and added a new dent in my wall, and a bruised elbow.

What has been your most angered experience in video games Escapists?

Trying to find all the boxes in "Cold Hard Crash" in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back.

Damn that took a long time, and I only found the last box because I was frantically jumping around (in the game, not real life) like crazy and suddenly hear a *smash* and thought..."it was there?"

Oh, and trying to get Huang Zhong's 4th weapon in Dynasty Warriors 4.

"Gaarrr, Liu Bei, stay in the main camp! Don't charge out to meet the enemy!"

*Liu Bei is killed*

"Game Over"

Compared to most gaming stories, it's rather minor but take note I rarely do 'finish X in X mode.' It was the achievement in Space Marine for finishing Part 1 in Hard Mode. That fucking Ork ship. It was a terrible time to die >.>.

Devil May Cry 3: Dante must die mode.

The trouble is that most of it is down to my less-than-perfect timing. The rest of it that isn't is down to those fucking blood-goyles. Example: Mission 5. As you start you are attacked by two groups of 3 and 4 respectively. The first group usually goes down with little or no trouble, but the second always has a larger one that will split itself in two smaller ones when it becomes one of the last two.

The only one I can think of right now is Duke Nukem Forever. I had to stop the game and didn't touch it for two weeks, I only went back just in case it actually got better later (Spoiler warning: it didn't.)

Let's ignore the fact that Duke's "ego bar" was as helpful to gauge Duke's health as flipping a coin, let's ignore the fact the only weapon I would call functional was the shotgun alone, and let's ignore the fact that the enemies were extremely cheap and as fun to kill as a balloon filled with someone's fart. Ignoring all that, when you died (and you will die... ALOT) you had to stare at a god damn loading screen that literally took a minute and a half between EVERY. FUCKING. DEATH.

I actually spent more time at certain points looking at the loading screen than I was actually playing this fucking shitty game.

I don't normally get angry with games, but I have to say, I was pretty damn pissed off in KOTOR2 when they force you to play as Atton Rand. I hadn't used him at all during the game so he was really under-levelled. But I eventually figured out the trick of hiding behind the table in the corner, so it didn't matter. Also, the Ninja Gaiden series is the biggest rage fest ever.

Poison Ivy boss fight in Arkham Asylum. The controls on PC just completely change and it's really annoying :(

Also the Mass Effect 3 ending obviously, and the third boss Moldorm in A Link To The Past, so fucking stressful when you get knocked off the platform ARGH.

Spinning tower of blades. God of War.

I usually turn a game off it pisses me off that much, but I was really immersed in that game and was fucking furious by the time I'd done it.

Since getting an 360 last year, i took it upon myself to dig into the local gamestores Used "archive" and get some exclusive's i might've missed out on.

So i've been going through Halo backwards, Reach, ODST, and now Halo 3.
5 euro's at the local gamestore, "Used" of course.

So yeah....hmmm..hmmm...Cortana level, Flood.....destroy three thingies, get eaten...a lot..
RAGE!
Maybe need to call in a second player some day, when i can look at the disc and not explode with anger.

World of Tanks was my last, they have a horrid matchmaking where they throw your weak ass starting rickshaw up against people 2-4 tiers above you, their tanks are sofar ahead I can't even dent them with point blank shots.
Not to mention the people who played long enough to get those tanks have an absurd amount of experience so the effect is exponantially horrid.

Don't know who was putting that system together but he is an absolute imbecile, and I hear the problem get's worse as you progress.

NHL Hockey 95. Cheatin' rally-code AI broke my brain. I ended up punching a hole in my dorm wall.

The flying school in San Andreas. Oh GODS, how I loate the flying school. Even with a joypad, the missions were endlessly frustrating!

What's worse, they're needed for progress.

Battlefield 3, especially when I'm playing "camp" games.

Always campers around the m-coms, campers in corners, the team thats supposed to be attacking are all camping in their own base with snipers, camping with mortars. Cant get the games won effectively.
