I never quit a match unless i'm not enjoying it.

if i'm playing cod and i join a gme where the enemy already has what seems like infinate chopper gunners, dogs and are camping by the spawns, then i will quit becasue it's no fun playing like that.

Also when im playing single player and i don't win, will restart and count it as a loss. The way i see it, there's no point playing till the end if you've already lost.

I only quit when Im not having fun, and I can still have fun while losing.

When I am losing, and its not because of my team screwing up or someone hacking, I like to observe and adapt.

Even if its my team that screws up, I sometimes find myself trying to find a way to coordinate them or manipulate them into a more effective form.

Buuuut most of the time.. I just camp... Which makes alotta people angry.
If they started taking alternative routes or at least started thinking, they would'nt die that 8th time by my rifle and/or claymore.

Lemmings the lot of them... Gotta love them.

I'll quit a match if I join it and it's ungodly balanced like (Blackops DM, 6000-2000) Thats abit unfair to join a match like that. But any match I join and it's fairly even or better yet just started I'll always play through.

Funny story about that.

Myself and 3 of my friends joined a game of Black Ops TDM yesterday and we noticed that we got on a team where everyone had quit. We joined with 35 seconds left and we were down by 15. They had 6, we had 4, and we came back and won by 1 point when time ran out. The other team left the lobby.

OT: There's a guy that plays with us sometimes that yells and screams at the top of his lungs upon every death, and if he doesn't have 20+ kills and less than 5 deaths at the middle point of the match, he leaves.

I think that kind of behavior is pathetic. Part of playing a game is losing the game. If you can't take a loss, you need a new hobby. Maybe buy a coloring book and some crayons.

I don't understand people like this, as it seems they no longer enjoy playing the game... Is proving you're better than someone really worth spending your time on a hobby you don't enjoy?

Do people actually think running away from fights you can't win makes you a winner?
We call this the Charlie Sheen strategy.

Also knuckle tats can be covered with rubber gloves when he, let's say, is making burgers for McDonald's. If you truly never want to see employment, get a face tattoo.
You just have to think outside the box, get a sex change and convert to Islam.

2:1 and he considers himself a "Pro" gamer? AAHAHHAHAHAHAA! Wow... Thats what I average and i'm not even good. He just needs to get his head out of his ass, grow up and get a job. Try getting his parents to kick him out of his basement.

Also his tattoo translates into = DOUCHÉ BAG.
Yes, I was also curious why a 2:1 k/d ratio was something to gloat about. Sure, it's more impressive than a less than 1:1, but as a 'pro-gamer' - that is embarrassing, no?

OT: stop being friends with this guy, people judge you by the company you keep, so I wouldn't advise keeping said company

I never quit for any reason other than appalling lag.

Occasionally I take this to stupid levels, like when I was playing Halo in a game that ended up being 5-on-1, where I was the 1.
Respawn, surrounded by enemies
Try to kill one of them
Die
Repeat

yes i am the rage quit guy off of rooster teeth XD
then may i suggest you look into a tattoo removal specialist because you clearly missed the point of a tattoo, and you clearly missed the point of competition and sportsmanship.

OT: wait that WAS on topic... in any case ragequiting exists? i thought it was one of those too sad to be true stories about gamers under the age of 10 and only became an issue to the real online gamer when those kids' parents had enough money to support them until they died.

unless someone is griefing you, why would you leave? its a learning experience the better player wins... SOMEONE SOMEWHERE is better than you. end of story, stop being a whiney infant and grow up

It's considered a legitimate military strategy to pick your battles; I suppose it counts here too. If you really wanna win, run from the ones you'll lose.

On the other hand, don't expect anyone to want to fight you...

I rage quit when I'm playing a team based game, and my team is a bunch of dipshit 8 year olds.

BFBC2 is especially bad in this regard, because it sucks at balancing teams, and when joining a game you will ALWAYS end up on the team losing 230-60, with nobody playing the objective.

I don't understand why people think you can never get a job with hand tattoos, its illegal to descriminate and its not a big deal really... some of my friends have hand tattoos and they still managed to get jobs.
People don't understand what a huge range of actual work is available, that's why. I've worked with all kinds of tattoo-covered people, but I don't like jobs where I actually have to serve customers. Customers are jerks.

although I would have to agree that getting knuckle tattoos that read RAGE QUIT its a ridiculous idea, I mean people who rage quit are the people who the community makes fun of the most. Its extremely immature and hella annoying to play with those jerks who join a game and then ten minutes later if things aren't going their way up and quit on the team... losers...
It's illegal to discriminate on the basis of disability, religion, sexual affiliation, race, and gender. Tats are not protected from this unless they are some kind of religious rite.

BAHAHAHAAAAA.
No.
"Ragequit" is not in the vocabulary of a hardcore gamer. Your friend is a poser. A true hardcore gamer is one who /loves/ a challenge. Give your friend a copy of I Wanna Be the Guy and tell him he's not a hardcore gamer until he beats it, then record the results. It will be funny. Very funny.

He sounds a bit extreme but I've rage-quitted my fair share of games: I like to think that at least some of those were because my team was letting me down but I will admit rage-quitting for just playing poorly.

Reminds me of rage quitters in APB.
They leave 5 seconds before the match is over just to keep ther threat level up.

Infact a moderator of the game was playing vrs a friend of mine and was losing, he 'd/ced' seconds before the game ended and then banned my friend for hacking. Now THATS what i call a bad loser.
