Rammstein's new video - exploitative porn or clever subversion?

Now first off, forgive me for not posting a link, but this forum has youngsters on it and any fans will know where to look anyway.

Has anyone seen the video for new single 'Pussy?'

It's going to be huge. HUGE.

You can always rely on Rammstein to push things and be controversial but a lot of people seem to feel that full on porn is a step too far.

Personally I think as usual it's a clever, subversive video from the band with the best sense of humour in music.

Though I will admit, Till's giant frankfurter is not the ideal image I would have had this morning to go with eating my breakfast...

What did you make of it?

It's Rammstein, one of the most racist, misogynistic, and otherwise hate EVERYONE bands in current popularity. It's exploitation. There isn't anyone they DO like.

"Pussy" played more to fetishes with the Mr. Pain and the guy with....anyway, the version of the Satisfaction video I'm on about was on par with penetration and money shot, lacked the fetish feel of the video and was longer, and in the non-porn scenes had girls with power tools, I much prefer it, plus I had to mute the audio on Pussy, sounded damned awful, and I like Rammstein.

It was stupid, but cute. I'm glad to see Rammstein isn't changing their stripes, we need good immature humor in this day in age, I'm oft afraid that we're being wasted to the minds of the "mature" who can refuse to take point to laugh at the dumber things in life, be it sex jokes or otherwise.

The lyrics were amusing, too, still love their music.

In general I enjoy Rammstein's music and their videos. The new video fit with the song, really had no problem with that. The song however I felt was weak. It seemed like the melody was a rehash of a previous song, though I can't put my finger on which one and the lyrics were just childish and silly. Very disappointing for the first new song in several years.

Nothing wrong with a bit of exploitation. Everybody exploits themselves in one way or another to make a buck, that's just how society works. We're all prostitutes in one sense of the word or another.

Can't say I like the song, it's not one of their better ones. But I do like the video concept.

I liked it. I thougt that the lyrics were funny, the music good, and the video a little stupid, but all of the best music videos are kinda dumb. Now I wish it was October for this album to come out.

EDIT: I feel bad for Flake he always gets the lame parts in videos. Stephen Hawking in Kine Lust, the guy jumping off a bridge in Benzin, and now a "Heshie" in Pussy. Poor Flake.

i can now say IT DOESNT MATTER because the song sucks, just like everythng else rammstein does.

As for the merits of the video, this is stupid. Its just shock for shocks sake and the is no point to making he video that graphic excpet to piss off those who are offended by it and to give everyone else some juvenile fun at seeing sex.

I will say those were some pretty nice cumshots at the end there

He got too famous and turned into exactly the kind of uninspired, attention whoring celebrity he spent his early career opposing.

Say what you want about Manson but his Trent Reznor produced 'Antichrist Superstar' was a damn fine album. It's a rare person who can resist tapping their foot to 'Beautiful People'

Overall... meh. I mean I can sorta see what they're going for, but I can hit up Google and see a hundred times worse (or better) with a few mouse clicks. They're not pushing any boundaries, but I suppose the fact that they're a mainstream band appearing (through CGI I would imagine) in hardcore porn is sort of the deal. Maybe that why I don't really like it or hate it. I do however like that Flake is still the odd man out, poor bastard.

Why do I get the feeling Flake is the ringmaster in the whole thing... he always seems to be the most deviant, out there member... his unnasuming stature might hide an evil genius mind!

actually you missed the whole point of the song and the video itself. the song and the video itself are a comment on America's hang up about sex and how taboo it is to even mention it and how the europeans don't think it's that big of a deal
