Plenty of times in fallout 3 where I was in megaton or rivet city or underworld and just opened fire on everybody. My favourite rampage is in Red Faction: Guerrilla with all cheats enabled. Just killing shitloads of edf, blowing everything up. Priceless.

In Fable: The Lost Chapters, I took a more subtle approach to "rampaging" which involved me getting as many people to follow me as possible out of a town, kill them all in the wilderness, go back to town and buy the houses they used to live in. It's pretty much also how I get rid of my partners in Fable 2, except I let the Hobbes and bandits to the dirty work for me.

True Crime NYC. I took my Lamborghini out on Park Avenue, which is a strait street that runs almost the entire length of Manhattan. Disgusted by the teeming horde, I pulled up on the big sidewalk and just held down the gas button. The people walking down Park were so thick I was wasting a dozen a second, and since I was going 200 miles an hour the cops couldn't even find me for the first five minutes until every man in the city with a badge was after me. The few who did manage to catch up weren't robo-smart enough to shoot the sidewalk gauntlet of Central Park's retaining wall on one side and street lamps on the other, and would always wipeout when they tried to PIT me. When I got to the end, I'd just flip a J-turn and begin again. And the masses just kept respawning on the sidewalk cheek to jowl, which, of course only fuled my duty-driven need to cull a population so obviously out of control. This was a real *gas* for nearly an hour before a helicopter gunship finally arrived and exploded me. I can say without ego that literally thousands perished. Often humorously.

There's a certain mission on Operation: Flashpoint, in which your entire squad sits innocently off the road. I happen to have a grenade. What would you do?

Moments later, my Sergeant drives up to the scene of the freshly smoking corpses that used to be his squad, with one slightly wounded, grenade-holding soldier left. I salute him, and gun him down before he has a chance to take me out. Unfortunately I do not get away with murdering my squad, as I soon meet the wrong end of an APC.

Another notable rampage was during the infamous mission to take Montignac. I was trying to see the other level that you play if your whole squad dies during the assault, but even when I ramped up the difficulty, increasing the chances of my squad getting killed rather than wounded, and even started firing grenades into them, I either got shot in retaliation or took the village successfully anyway.

heh, I actually thought this was about the storyline of the Rampage games! Already seemed like a weird thread to make, but then again, I've seen stranger.

It mainly seems to be for RPG games, rampages, though I have had a few on a game such as Splinter Cell, though this would be post-Pandora's Box, when it was actually possible to have a rampage without Lambert's comically enunciated cry of "What the heeeal was that Sayum? The mission's ohhva!"
