Prime Time is great! A little creepy but definitely good. My all time favourite is Robot Rock. It's insane how kickass that track is.
Aaah I love Robot Rock too although it is the one song I end up skipping because it gets a little too repetitive for my tastes >.>. Still a great song.

I like it even more because of this mashup.

I just want to say that mashup is amazing, I'm usually not a fan of mash ups but that just works really well.

Glad to hear you liked it! I implore you to also check out other Daft Punk vs Beastie Boys mashups such as this [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJoFBAlP8EY] one and this [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6x9cC2leEQ] one. There are a few other good ones as well, including one from the DJ Hero game :p.

Trivia: The Robot Rock mashup got me into Beastie Boys and eventually hip-hop.

After how disappointing I found Human After All I'm really hoping for something special here. Fingers crossed fora tour soon, I last saw them in 2007 (listen to the Alive 2007 album, basically the same set!) and it was intense.

So pumped for this, it sounds a lot more like the masterpiece that was Discovery, which is awesome.

And if anyone is interested there's a series talking with the people who collaborated with Daft Punk of the album, and some of the stuff they say is really cool.

They're both alright, the Robot Rock one is definitely my favourite though. I think a mash up, if done well can be amazing, but it just so rarely is. My favourite by far has to be this:

I just think it sounds like it could be a completely original song.

I guess the Beastie Boys just lend themselves so well to mash ups because their songs use so many different samples anyway. It's cool that you got into hip-hop that way though.

I've been hearing it's either or from all over the place but so people aren't disappointed, I will change it to 21st.

Ooo nice find, that's quite the mash-up. It definitely could have fooled me for being an original song, which isn't the end and all of mash-ups but still a great achievement.

Yeah they are, to the extent in some live shows they often change the beat between verses which is pretty kickass.

I just think it's cool that two very different songs can be put together and it just sounds completely normal.

A friend showed me this a while ago which is great, but it seems pretty well known so you've probably already heard it.

Why have I discovered this now >.>.

Yeah, it is great when songs fit so perfectly together. That feeling when you discover one that turns out to be pure gold although the songs mashed are contrasting is wonderful. This is also why I absolutely adore sampling in music.

Not a good example of the contrasting idea but I still want to share it.
