I'm not very good at fighting games, but I've been loving Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. I've yet to win a single match online, but I gave it another go. I get matched up with this player who seems to be the same skill level as me, but there's a problem. It's the laggiest match I've ever played. But for some reason, neither of us quit out. We just put up with it. So because of the lag, this match goes on for several minutes yet the game never disconnects. Near the end of the match, it's close. We're both down to one character and our life bars are quite low. So I pull a sudden hyper combo, and I've won my first match! The announcer screams "K.O!" and...the game freezes. I wait. And I wait. And then:
"You have been disconnected from the other player."
WHAT!? YOU GO SEVERAL MINUTES WITHOUT DROPPING, AND NOW YOU DECIDE TO DO IT!? RIGHT AFTER I'VE WON MY FIRST EVER MATCH!? NOW IT WON'T EVEN SHOW UP ON MY PROFILE, WHAT THE HELL!?
Ugh...alright, I did it once. Maybe I can perform another miracle. I connect with another player, and get my ass kicked in a flurry of never-ending combos, counter's, hyper combos, assist's, and baroques. *sob*
