I love that song.

One thing that was creepy was what James says to you in the Citadel Embassies at the beginning of ME3. Holy hell foreshadowing much?
What did he say? I can't remember.

In Syberia 2,
You have to go into Hans's(the old man) mind and bring him back from the dead. Throughout the level, you are confronted by Hans as a creepy kid. Then, when you come back from Han's mind to the real world, you have to tell Oscar to "open his heart".

Long story short: Oscar becomes a life support exoskeleton for Hans.

Yeah. To this day I can't understand what the hell Benoit was smoking.

I swear the Creeprs in Minecraft are not meant to scare me as much as those fuckers actually do....
No... they are meant to scare you that much. Nothing more unnerving as carrying a ton of ore and loot, walking far too close to lava, and than...

SSSSssssssss...

Most endings to any Kirby games. The final bosses are either launching eye blood at you or screeching at you. So must scary after such a cute game.

Morrowind monsters scare the bejesus out of me. I'm pretty sure it's not meant to be a horror game but that's how it comes across now.

The entirety of "And Yet It Moves".
That game just felt so... disturbing all the way through. I enjoyed it but something just felt wrong.

He basically says there is something wrong and creepy about the Citadel that he can't put his finger on.

Tranquility Lane. So much yes. It was so random and grim. I was a lucky duck, and took the easy way out without any hints, or getting any blood on my hands. I blame the Chinese. Also the Pint-sized slasher, I found out about him before I went to Tranquility Lane. And it was just dark when I had to you know, you do that thing, on my second play through.
See, now I thought he was talking about the Dunwich Building. Ah well.

The only one I can think of that has happened in recent memory is in Kingdoms of Amalur. Its fairly near the beginning of the game, you run into this guy who tells you he's actually a wolf. He's kinda crazy and snarls a bit, and has the same uncanny valley deathstare as every other character in the game. Thing is, when he's telling you about his plight, he says in his weird snarly voice that you have to go and get the potion that will cure him. He kinda half shouts and half snarls it though, and at that very moment his eyes turn to camera, so its like hes saying it directly to the player.

Freaked me out a bit.

Lavender Town in pokemon. Goddamn that place creeped the shit out of me back in the day. It's just so incongruous compared to everything else in the game. Especially the music. Yeesh.

Also the forest temple in ocarina of time. That might just have been because I was a wuss at the time but that got to me as well.

It's funny because those two bits were way scarier than anything in like say fallout or bioshock or what have you. Probably because they were unexpected.

If anyone's played Loom, it's pretty Disney movie-like in tone until a certain point where it throws all of that out the window.

You switch appearances with a sleeping guy to get into his Guild's building and previously in the game you pissed off a dragon who is out looking for you. It sees what looks like you and while you don't see what happens you see the aftermath - a bloodied, mauled skeleton. The rest of the game is pretty much just as dark from there on.

I found it rather unexpected.

Mario 64, you're playing the game, you're loving it, you enter a new painting, go for a little swim...and then...

OH GOD KILL IT WITH FIRE

Flasher merchent in Resident Evil 4. Not actually creepy(well...not anymore than normal) but considering that not only does he just show up in places...he also pulls open his coat in a way where every time he does so...I think he is going to *ahem* show me a special kind of rocket launcher :/

That moment in the beginning of Resident Evil 5 when you turn around and everybody that was there (literally) 10 seconds ago is suddenly gone.

Captcha: hat trick

OT: Maybe it was supposed to be creepy, maybe just somewhat spooky, but in Dark Souls, the cutscene before the Pinwheel fight just scared the fuck out of me.
Easiest boss in the damn game, except maybe the Moonlight Butterfly or the Asylum Demon, but scary as all fuck that one time.
Good God yes. The Catacombs all round were pretty freaky. Those screaming exploding skull demons in the dark stairwells at the beginning... Holy shit. The first time I ran into the undead blacksmith I had a heart attack until I realized he wasn't an enemy. After making it to the Tomb of the Giants and getting smacked in the face out of the dark by the first undead giant I just ran for it. I'd had enough.

You might be right. Dunwich building never felt creepy to me, if I remember it correctly. I need to play FO3 again. But did Tranquility Lane not freak you out?

In an old Sherlock game, they forgot to give Watson a walking animation, so he would just magically appear by your side whenever you turned away. Here's a video. Hilarious and creepy

One of my oldest Minecraft worlds had a 'Glitch Area' where anything that entered was frozen in stasis, unable to move or attack, impossible to kill. Forever.

Thank god I keep back-ups of my worlds or I would've been forced to delete it when I wandered into it by accident. The stasis bug seemed to disappear of its own accord but I've still never ventured too deep into that area due to the other odd glitches it has (like the fact that when I quit and re-open the world any constructions or alterations I've made to the terrain in that area mysteriously undo themselves.)
