I have yet to come across with these "new captchas". I'll get back to you on the subject once I do. So far the only ones that were any bother were the "describe this brand using any word" kind, at least until I stopped trying to make sense with my answer and just typed 'nice' in all of them.

Imagine getting captchas like that, for literally 20 solid minutes. This was the best one I ran into today, but it was nowhere near as frequent or bad as the ones I had to decipher yesterday.

Most of those captchas consisted of really bad primary color clashes, horrendously warped letters(or at least they were supposed to resemble them.) and so many scribbles on top of those letters (of the same color) that I couldn't even begin to guess what the heck it was trying to say.
Worst yet was that some of them were numbers....of sorts. Based on the speaker version of those captchas.
I suggest clicking that left-most button a few times. Or maybe the middle one a few times to mix it up a bit. Get different captchas.
I did.
Believe me I refreshed the hell out of it...but they just kept coming.
It was horrible.

You know what tinypic implemented?
Video ad captchas.

Video
Ad
Captchas.

If that doesn't tell you anything, it makes you sit through youtube video ads before you are allowed to see the captcha.

Be glad those aren't here because you have not seen obnoxious yet.
At least you aren't forced to wait to see the bloody thing.

Since I was unable to contact the help desk due to these very captchas. So I guess, this thread can be my complaint/feedback letter to them.
Actually, I'm fairly certain posting in their usergroup doesn't require a captcha to be entered.

Is this what you tried? If not, I can't believe no one in this thread has linked this yet.

I didn't even know such a thing existed.
I thought you went to the "Contact Us" page at the bottom.

Thanks for the link!

What purpose does the video part even serve?
Other than blatant advertisement?

It puts us in that quasi dimension where there is advertising that is watched by advertising bots and answered by advertising bots to generate revenue for the advertising bots who pay the advertising bots to advertise on the captcha's site.

It's like some giant human centipede of advertising revenue.
