For my computer and gaming I use a nice pair of M-Audio Q-40's

For portable music I have a pair of Koss Ur/29's

I used to have a nice pair of Denon AH-C710's but they stopped working. I am considering getting another pair once I upgrade my ipod

Personally, I'm all for the Sony MDR-V150's. True, not exactly a name that rolls off the tongue, but I've gotten a good 3 years or so on my current pair, and I'm on my 3rd or 4th one as it is. I just find they have a nice classic look to them, and aren't too bulky for the sound quality they have. And not too bad for 40 bucks or so.

I guess I definitely should mention that I've all but eaten my way through at least 6 pairs of earbuds in the time I've owned my current pair of these (ranging from uber cheapo to mid range).

Same, Earbuds typically hurt my ears.

Headphones. ^_^

I just love the way they look and feel. Plus, they tend to be higher quality in my experience. Overall they're just nice.

I use earbuds exclusively on the go, but I listen to music a lot on my computer and for that I use Sony headphones. And when I go to sleep, I use my shitty iPod dock speakers.

As for which is the best out of all three to listen to music on, probably headphones (not my headphones mind you, just headphones in general).

The best set of headphones I've ever owned are some set of Triton's who's exact name escapes me. I have long sought a quality pair of over the ear headphones that avoided the severe ear pain I usually get with such things and this is the first success in that search. Unfortunately, it came at the price of well over 100 USD.

When I'm not at my computer/game console, I use earbuds as I can tolerate them longer than most other types of headphones. I'd like to use larger devices for a variety of reasons but thanks to the aforementioned pain I simply cannot.

Earbuds {A} are uncomfortable to me, {B} don't fit well in my ears properly, {C} Too powerful for being in close proximity to the eardrums, and {D} cause a waxy build-up.

Rap-around headphones cause an irregular shaping of my curly hair when worn.

Ergo, I use clip-onto-the-ear headphones.

BIG ASS EARMUFF TYPE HEADPHONES, cause when I'm listening to music I want you to know I DON'T WANT TO TALK TO YOU!
Pretty much this for me. Also, if you have quality headphones, the music from this can get really friggin trippy, reeeeeally quickly.

I have an awesome Pair of EarPollution Headphones. A guy at a course recommended them to me. Theyre really good, but my MP3 is crappy, so it doesnt really do much.

I have iPod earbuds for when I am out and about, and at my computer I wear a pair of Sony headphones that I also use when I am gaming in my room. I used to have a pair of green "Skullcandy" head phones but I don't like them all that much. My brother however, loves 'em and he uses them for gaming.

So, yeah. Earbuds for on the go. Headphones all other times.

Earbuds for my MP3 player and laptop (the ones I use with the laptop came with a previous MP3 player). RF wireless headphones for my desktop. I can listen to anything on the desktop pretty-much anywhere in the house. For power, swapping out the flat AAA batteries for a freshly-charged set is easy as pi. Only downside is that they're no good for lying down in bed and listening to a podcast, which is where the laptop usually comes in.

Ear Buds on the go (because regular earphones make my ears want to die) and simply because huge ass headphones are lightly more noticable and stealth is everything to using them at work. I got a cheap pair of Skullcandy ones (Argos £9.99) but I'm hoping to get a nice pair of Sennheisers.

At home on the PC/PS3 I used my speakers or the Panasonic headphones if I'm playing an atmospheric game. Either that or I'm listening to my record player's huge ass 30 year old speakers.

We all love music right? We also like good quality sound comming out the speaker's. I my self have went through roughly 100 pairs of head phones in a 10 year radious. OT: Which of the three do you prefer, why, and what is your favorite brand. Hell, post what ever, i dont give a damn, just keep it to a minimum. Chow
Since I discovered buds, I'd never go for anything else. My 'deep bass enhanced' Sony earbuds are awesome- I've never had to turn the volume on my mp3 up past 16 any more (30 is the limit) to get good sound- and since buds fit nice and snug in my ear canal- it feels like no sound escapes, I'm getting all of it.

That and they're convenient to carry around, with a little cable-management thingy I can wrap the cable around. I love them.

Sony might make an awful mess when it comes to dealing with their customers regarding consoles, but their audio products I still think rival some of the best.

Headphones on the PC and earbuds for listening to music on my phone when I'm not at home.
