"That is why I did your wi-I mean laundry. We should get moving, a pack of small raptors just went by and it?s going to get dark soon." He climbed on the roof with a telescope and scouted, off in the distance something big made its way across the field to the right of the pawn shop. To the left was the town, congested with traffic and abandoned cars. Shutters were drawn, car alarms continued to go off. Dogs barked, and then suddenly stopped. Every so often there were screams. The dinos weren't making much noise, not roaring all the time like they did in the movies. They were quiet when hunting.
"People are trying to wait it out..."he mumbled "They forgot their dogs, there pets their belongings on the commotion? Something wasn't right, they were too aggressive, they weren?t killing for food, they were killing for the sake of killing...they weren't hunting.
"What the hell were the doing on that island?? Something caught his eye in the parking lot, he drew his sidearm-a broom handle mauser-and aimed. It was a dog (a mutt); he hurried down and brought it on in the shop. He know why, normally he would have left it fend for itself. He had always passed buy homeless people and strays without a thought in his mind of helping, but now, now he helped it. He heard another dog suddenly stop barking, and this time he heard a raptor call. Aside from the car alarms everything fell silent. It was eerie. He hurried to the comfort of the noise and the people of the pawn shop.
"You guys got room in your ride?"
