Rare Games: Have you found/bought any recently?

I was in my Local CEX today (for everyone who isn't British, CEX sells practically anything technological, bad thing is everything is pre-owned)

I was looking at the Gamecube section when i found a game i thought i would NEVER see in any shop.

Pokemon: XD Gale of Darkness.

i bought it for £22 (the most expensive Gamecube game in the shop, all the others were not even past a 10er) and this got me thinking.

What rare games have you seen in a shop? Did you buy it? Was it worth it?

I went into blockbusters and found preowned Tales of vesperia (one of the rarest xbox 360 games you can buy) for the small price of £25. I thought about it for three seconds and then I brought it.

Also I saw steel battalion for the orginal Xbox with its huge ass controller in Cex for 50 quid! I was almost gonna buy it due to how rare it is. Im now kicking myself because at that price it was practically a steal.

Tales of Vesperia is a hard-to-find game? Surprise to me, my local hole-in-the-wall game store doesn't have less than 3 at any time i go in.

OT: I did find an original Super Mario 64 at the same store. Haven't seen one of those in years.

I'm keeping my eye out for a Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (the first game) in the pre-owned sections whenever I go to a game-selling shop, I've managed to aquire the other games of the series, so I'm missing one.

Most of the games i've bought recently have been ps2 games, and they aren't really "rare" as of yet. Got Spiderman 2, POP Warrior Within and Spiderman 2 today, I suppose they could be scarce in a few years...

In the UK Its much more rarer to find TOV due to its limited release over here. Come to think of it Tales of Symphonia is also a rarity over here aswell.

Which one? tales of vesperia or Steel battalion. I'm guessing the latter.

My friend and I found a copy of God Hand, and old somewhat obscure beat-em-up for the PS2, in a Gamestop in Biloxi.

Yeah it would be Steel Battalion. I've always wanted to try it because it was just such a crazy idea. I'm sure its not a great game, but the thought of a 200 button mech control still makes me think its awesome.

Timesplitters 1 and 2 in Blockbuster for $10. Not rare as such, but hard to find. I wish I hadn't traded all my ps2 and xbox games in years ago.

As for rare, Kirby Crystal Shards for N64.
