I don't remember the centipede looking thing's name, but the sandworms and Ganon from OoT are probably the worst.

Yeah, that's what made him so terrible; he was too fucking easy.

He's built up to be the ultimate form of evil, yet he's the easiest boss in the game

I'm going with Megaman Legends.

This game was my first introduction to RPGs, or at least games with RPG elements. I was 8 when I beat it for the first time (first game I ever beat! :D), so nostalgia's going to factor heavily into this.

While some aspects of the controls were baffling to say the least (shoulder buttons turn?! you can't lock on while moving?!) it was an all-around great game with an interesting story and some unforgettable characters. The anime-style character models might be a bit off-putting to some, but I thought it gave the game a unique atmosphere.

One of the coolest parts of the game to me was that every dungeon on the island connects to one another. If you had cheats, you could access the final boss from the first dungeon. Of course, it wasn't obvious at first, but once you got the weapon that blew away crumbling walls only to find yourself in a place you could only see before, it was like being removed from the Matrix.

The RPG elements I talked about before come in the form of equippable items. Your main weapon is your buster, which you can attach 2 (and eventually 3) upgrades to. These upgrades do various things, from making each shot deadlier to increasing the gun's range. Also, you can make special weapons out of the parts you find in the ruins (and in town :D) which range from missile launchers to machine guns to a very familiar energy sword...

The story deals with Megaman and his adopted family, the Volnutts. They fly around the world in an airship collecting energy sources called refractors, which are pretty much giant crystals. After one dig (read: tutorial) yields a small refractor, the ship's engine dies, and they crash land on an island. The main goal at first appears to be to find parts to repair the ship, but you soon find out that the island is under attack by a gang of (quite silly) pirates who are after a legendary treasure supposedly buried under the island which may or may not be the rarest treasure of them all, the Mother Lode. It gets a lot more complicated than that, and I can't say much more without spoiling too much.

It more or less takes everything that made the first game great and makes it better. You're no longer confined to one island nor do you have to worry about fixing your ship. You can fly anywhere you want to once you've discovered the place. Also, the controls are greatly improved, giving you at least four defaults and a customization option (something a lot of console games are missing these days, IMO). Also, you can use the sticks to turn.

Another noticeable improvement is in the graphics department. The first game had a pretty polygonal feel. The characters looked like LEGO men (with an exception for the Servbots, who were actually supposed to look like LEGO men). Everyone and everything feels a lot more real and smooth. The rough edges are gone, and everything feels so much smoother.

The story picks up after the end of the first one, with the Flutter restored and Megaman and Roll flying around the world again. Roll's grandfather, who previously flew with the two, is about to embark on a voyage to Forbidden Island, which is constantly surrounded by fierce storms which make landing there almost impossible. He and an old friend have built a ship that can land there, and just as they're about to, they are attacked by a woman who looks like Roll's mother. The attack knocks out their engines, and they are forced to crash land on the island. Of course, Roll and Megaman decide to go in after them to see if they're alive. It gets much more complicated from there, much like the first one. Long story short, you end up looking for 4 keys which unlock the Mother Lode, for real this time.

Of course, it wouldn't be a Megaman game without firepower. Your buster is almost entirely unchanged from the first game, which IMO is a great thing. Why fix what isn't broken? The special weapons are similar to old weapons as well, and there are a few new weapons to find out there. What has really changed from the original, though, is the equipment. Originally, you could find armor that increased your damage resistance up to 75%, leg parts that made you jump higher, a helmet that made you harder to knock down (for whatever reason), and jet skates (which were awesome). That's it. The second one expanded upon this by introducing elemental damage (freezing, shock, fire, and power drain (which made your Buster useless)). Different types of armor would resist different types of damage, and different shoes would let you walk over different hazards without taking any damage.

Also, there's a water dungeon which is almost as frustrating as the infamous one in OoT.

Long stories short, you should most definitely check them out if you've got a Playstation.

True, and if I'm speaking realistically, that first Arachnid boss was the easiest. I could beat her in about 30 seconds, but Ganon was built up to be an unstoppable force that only Link and the Master Sword could ever hope to bring down, and he's dead in 10 seconds.

The Wild Arms Series

Wild Arms 1:8/10, It was a tad on the easy side but learning new moves was fun, It had scads of optional bosses and it had a sweet item system. It also introduced the Tools, a series staple. at The setting was somewhat generic but the it was enjoyable to explore.

Wild Arms 2:9/10, 6 party members an awesome story and a great battle system. It fall short due to some frustration with the sonar system, was closer to the wasteland feel the series wanted. Optional bosses got a bit harder this go around.

Wild Arms 3: 10/10, It had great characters, loads of side quests and bosses, and like it's prequels it had great puzzles. This to me is where the series hit it's peak and also perfected that wasteland feel the series was shooting for.

Wild Arms 4:6/10, A poor game with annoying characters, piss easy story line bosses and a boring story. It just didn't feel like a Wild Arms game. It's only saving grace is the Hex-battle system.

I haven't played WA5,XF, or the remake of WA1 so I'm not going to comment on them.
