R/B/Y: 7/10. The new games are better. Face it. After you beat the Elite Four, you can catch Mewtwo. That's about it.

G/S: 9/10 Near perfect. Still too little to the metagame after beating Red.

Crystal: 10/10 The Battle Tower gave you something to do!

R/S: 9/10 Good, but Emerald had...

Emerald: 10/10 Battle Frontier. *drools*

D/P: 10/10 A really well done Battle Tower kept the metagame strong.

Platinum: 11/10 Battle Frontier + Improved Battles of D/P = Heaven

That was the last good DK game. Nintendo needs to be making a new good one.

Ok I agree with all the DK Country games, but seriously DK 64? What?

The game had good intentions but really just used CHEAP repetition to lengthen gameplay.

Here's a level. Here's donkey Kong. Go collect Some Bananas. Go Collect Some Banana Medallions. Go collect some other item specific to him. OH WAIT YOU CAN'T OPEN THIS DOOR.

Here's Diddy Kong. Same level. Go collect different COLOURED bananas. Go collect Some banana medallions. go shoot yourself in the brain.

Here's Lanky Kong. Do all that crap again.

Here's two more random Kongs. Do it again. and again.

FOR EVERY LEVEL.
Also we have a LOT OF LEVELS.

The whole game was a just a meta-gaming collection fest.
Some of the boss battles were fun but you had to do so much grind just to get anywhere. It got really annoying. Making someone beat a level doing exactly the same shit 5x is just mean. Making them do it for every level is just plain evil.

Rating it on par with the firs DKC just seems wrong to me.
Then again I am the kind of guy that has to collect EVERYTHING and do EVERY sidequest before moving on in a game. I hate just doing the bare minimum. Still even the bare minimum in that game was too much repetition.
