Vasily Zaytsev

Biggest badass of a sniper if I ever saw one. Holy shit.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vasily_Grigoryevich_Zaitsev

EDIT: Having noticed this [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.85802#1257374] post, I'm still convinced that Vasily was the greatest sniper. While Simo Häyhä was definately a good shot, he was in good cover by the snow, and almost always hidden. Vasily had to run around a bombed town and keep revealing his position.

Vasily takes the cake, but Häyhä is a close second I'll admit.

George Best.

You'd think he'd stop drinking after his liver transplant, but no.

Rest in peace, lad. We'll remember you for your football career. Glory glory Man United.

I am truly envious that he got to see the world from the perspective of a crazy guy flailing in the street.

I kid, really!
You know we all can't be short sighted, Even "crazy" people to modern standards are wise humans. People used to think being Deaf or Mute was the same as being Dumb, Some short sighted people still think that way too.

The Allied leaders of WW2. Essentially, a raging alcoholic and a man in a wheelchair get together with a paranoid megalomaniac who hated everything they stood for, and make a detestable master-race abomination heading a military juggernaut commit suicide .

Also Charles de Gaulle. Cheese-eating surrender monkeys? Ha. Ha.

Also Eisenhower, Omar Bradley and Patton. Yeah, yeah, Americans saved our posh British asses, we know.

my great grandfather Douglas MacDonald he fought in WWII as an infantryman who was considered an excellent sharpshooter he and his men held a section of a German armor column in place long enough to force them to retreat using mainly accurate fire and improvised explosives. He also stayed behind in Britain for some time defusing unexploded bombs and whatnot. Great guy, taught me everything i know about firing a rifle accurately. he's dead now unfortunately died about 2 years back was suffering from alzheimers disease and was reliving alot of the things he went through in the war.

Thomas Midgley Jr. Sure you invented leaded petrol and CFCs but you did so with the best of intentions...

...Okay so you contributed to massive amounts of pollution and destruction of the ozone layer, caused lead poisoning in hundreds of people including yourself...but that was just bad luck...

Simo Häyhä bitches, aka White Death.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simo_Häyhä

Dude was a farmer who decided that he hated the Russians invading enough to sit around in -40 temperatures in an all white suit and got 500 confirmed kills using IRON SIGHTS because he didn't like telescopic ones. He also had 200 kills with an SMG. They eventually only took him down with close combat and a SHOT TO THE JAW knocking off half his face, but dude decided he was STILL too badass and to spit in everyone's face by waking up on the day peace was declared.
Damn it you took mine!!!! well as a second choice i present Hiroo Onada
