Man that video is so old, every once in a while it pops back up. It's a cool technology demonstration but as you can see it has zero practical value. Anyways a walking tank is completely stupid and impractical. Even MGS acknowledges this. If you call up Sigint in MGS3 after the scene where Snake interrogates that fat Russian scientist he goes on this long tirade about how a walking robot is stupid and treads are better in practically every situation.

This thing has nothing to do with Metal Gear; there's an older version of that video under it's original name. It's actually a project from Boston Dynamics which boasts a small portion of their strong engineering innovation. It's not designed to be a walking armed robot, it's designed to be a military pack-mule. Here's what it actually is.
