Realistic Zombie Game

I've been wondering, how come there aren't any realistic zombie games? Realistic as in only headshots would kill, and one bite is fatal. You would also have to scavenge to get supplies. Could this work, and would you play it?

Edit: To clarify, I'm talking about traditional zombies.

You know, the zombie apocalypse would probably range from harmless to catastrophic depending on how the disease is transmitted.

It could work, but it would probably have to be more focused on survival, rather than just killing your way through hordes of zombies.

Depends on what Zombie movie you are counting as realistic.

I wouldnt really pay for it, i would maybe play it if instead of one bite being fatal you have the vaccine but only in small syringe doses and it only cures it after biten and you dont build a resistence as to not make the game impossible.

Writing that actually agve me a good dea, make a game were you get bitten early in the game and slowley turn into one during the course of the game.

Well, we really don't know what a realistic zombie is. We know about traditional zombies (slow moving, immune to body shots), but I don't think that would be the case in the real world. I mean, if you blow out a zombie's spinal column, there's no way in hell it'll be able to keep going.

And one last thing, if you want a realistic zombie game, none of this "Go to the local gun store and find fully-automatic AK-47's in stock and grenade launchers"...

That's BS, even if you do find an AR it should be semi-auto.

It would be fun if it was 8-player coop, an awesome barricade engine thingy and you only have one life. But it wouldnt be mainstream enough so the majority wouldnt play it

Technically they would already be dead anyway, but it would just immobalize them and stop them from following you and or mauling you. Shooting them in the head ruined their brain so stops all bodily functions.

Wouldn't realistic zombies simply be humans only slightly decayed/infected with rabies? So really, they could be killed like regular humans, but still run like humans...but running like MOST humans in america would mean they would be running extremely slow and have to stop and take a break on the park bench every 5 minutes(I kid, I kid). But that would also mean they lack all basic intelligence except instincts...so they would only attack to eat, probobly get scared when they see their buddies dying, and eventually die from hunger since they were "Realistic".
Huh, the realistic zombie apocolypse is kind of boring :/.

The only proper way to kill a zombie is to cut off it's head.

In answer to the title of this thread... because quite frankly, it would not be fun. At ALL. Trying to replicate reality in a videogame defeats the purpose, as we play videogames to get the hell away from life. And what part of life sucks more than a zombie invasion? No matter what sort of invasion the real one would channel, be it the slow zombie or the Olympic sprinter zombie, it would still be about the worst thing that could happen to you.

How can you have a "Realistic" zombie game if it has zombies? Zombies do not exsist. Gamers that have not had enough sleep don't count as zombies.(but are the closest thing)

You could have a game with zombies dressed in bright sparkly tu tu (tu tus/tu ti?) which kill with the magic power of fairy dust. In the world of that game it would be realistic but in real life it isn't. But then again zobies are not realistic Real life

Oh and would I play it, no because it sounds kind of boring, I would probably die a lot and I have enough zombie games to last till 2011

well from what it seems it wont be a mmo like your thinking which im guessing like a skill bar with quick slots and such.

accepting that a game can be considered realistic and still contain zombies, i must admit that a game maybe resembling a co-op, open world version of dead rising would be kind of cool. for a while at least
