If you think it's so bad, why are you looking for it?

Because that is the norm for games. And if you don't like it, don't buy it. You said those games were crap, so just don't buy.
Who said I was gonna by it?
Why are you complaining about price if you don't want to buy it?

For people that actually do wanna buy it. $50 is too much for a port of a game that you can find for sometimes less than $20 brand new.
defender of truth, justice and retail value! yay!

If how good a game was had anything to do with how much it sold for then Psychonauts and Beyond Good and Evil wouldn't have dropped to $20 the first month they were put up for sale.
I think it was the Rastafarian Rhinos.
They were expecting you to buy the game with pearls.

Safe to say, it didn't turn out well.

Alone in the Dark wasn't terrible. It wasn't good, but it was playable for most of it. I mean, I got some enjoyment out of setting fires. And the other things (I can't really remember what else there was in the game).

I've played Alone in the Dark on the 360 and its one of the worst games on the console...

I've played Inferno on the PS3 and they have fixed some of the problems, but its still an awful game...

I really tried to like ALone in the Dark and I tried the PC version.

The game is so putrid that not even polishing it to hell will save the game from being a mediocre piece of doo-doo at best.

You can polish a piece of shit, but it's still in the end going to be shit you're fiddling around with.

I really don't understand why the hell they didn't update all versions of the games for Xbox360 and PC and only the PS3 version. It makes no sense.

Just becuse they got 1 out of 3 right doesn't make it better, it insults people who bought
the inferior versions.

Way to go Atari.

SO? brand new games here are $120 stop fucking complaining you ungrateful prick
and patently you can't afford any because you're wasting your time insulting people on the internet.
Look at the source.
The OP is a pointless complaint, how is that even worth posting?
If he made a post about prices of games in general and offered a little up for discussion then yeah, go for it. But no, he's part of the problem, making an immature pointless post that's not doing any good besides causing conflicting opinions about a pointless subject.
Useless topics either get deleted or put to good use. Bitching at the poster doesn't do anything. And there's no rule saying you can't complain about things. All discussion on the internet is pointless.

What bugs me is that I can pick up Burnout Paradise new from EB games for $20 and they want $30 for it over PSN. Where's the incentive?
Convenience, I assume.
If you don't mind waiting the six years it takes PSN's slow ass servers to actual cough up your file yeah it's convenient.

PSN's selection is great but it's download speeds are atrocious.

Oh and quote your source when you say MS paid for it to be delayed.

I don't have a source, its just one of those theories - do you have a better one as to why they delayed the Ps3 version over a period of months?
Ooo! I have a better theory. And mine is based on real world numbers and evidence and not my irrational burning hatred of a box of electronics that I consider threatening to the image of a different box of electronics that I have an equally irrational (and slightly creepy) love for.

Alone in the Dark, like most games, was almost certainly built using PC, and the transfer from PC to 360 (or PC) is incredibly easy. We all know that many developers are finding the PS3 hard to code for or port to. It takes a lot of time. So much time, in some cases, that certain companies have flat out refused to make PS3 ports themselves, having a second developer do it.

My theory would be that this is what happened.

What, if any, are the differences between Alone in the Dark and AITD: Inferno? I got the PC version when it came out because the fancy box and slight reference to the earlier games I had heard so much about from my friend. At first I thought it was pretty damn awesome, and just as I was about to think to myself "this is one hell of a game, somebody has put a lot of effort into this" the game pushes a giant middle finger in my face with crap decisions like making the button to jump off ropes the pause break button, why couldn't it be in a place thats closer to all the other buttons so that I could reach it? Then the faulty combat system knocked it down another dozen notches, then the next level where you had to drive around while the city was being destroyed was the nail in the coffin. Gave up several times on that, completion of the level relied on pure luck that you didn't run into any bugs. Awful, awful game..

I have to be honest, I'm sick of hearing people whining about the game. And I'm sick of people presenting their opinions as facts. When it came out on 360 I paid £40 (at current rate $56) for it and I fucking loved it.
