Ok discovered Scroobius Pip recently and really liked that, and iv been into Rugged Man for a while, but aside from that I havent really found any rappers that amazingly original lyrically. So do you know any, and dont point out obvious ones like Eminem etc. (iv heard of him ).

Really though, aside from the standard trolling involved here, I've never really gotten the appeal. The only thing that ever makes rap "good", is impressive writing, and that hardly needs to be limited to any form of music to be considered good. I find that having some dude sing what may be some impressive literature just ruins it by being annoying.

Scroobius Pip is on Sage Francis' record label of Strange Famous, that's a good place to look. I would also recommend Eyedea & Abilities. If you fancy some more spoken work style rap like Pip check out Polarbear and Kate Tempest.

OT: I really don't know any "good" rappers because I'm not in Rap music to begin with. On occasion, a song on the radio might sound good but enough for me to look up the artist. I really can't recommend to many "good" rap artists, i prefer hip hop to overall rap, but uhm i'll suggest nappy roots

Dan Le sac is quite nice, he´s done two albums with Scroobius pip.
Sage francis is a lyrical genius imho.
Saul williams is good too.

Gotta tell you, I LOVE Saul Williams. He's a little rough on most of his albums, but his album "Niggy Tardust" was mastered and co-wrote with Trent Reznor, frontman of Nine Inch Nails and composer of The Social Network's score.

Anyway, Saul Williams is transcendental rap, more like spoken word poetry... in fact he's mostly a spoken word poet. I think he has more shows based on that than rap.
