I've had dreams where I've almost died before plenty of times but once (possibly more than that) but definitely, absolutely once I had a dream where I straight-up died. In the dream I fell off of a balcony, landed on the ground and was just...dead...I had an out-of-body experience then everything just got sort of ethereal for a while. I don't remember if I met anybody but I felt really, really peaceful and at ease: everything was alright. Then I woke up and felt like an innumerable number of fictional works had lied to me.

Well while I was still watching breaking bad I had a dream where I was affiliated with the lawyer and he came to my house because he needed to hide from Gus? the black drug lord guy, anyway he (drug lord guy) comes and finds my house and has a shotgun I hide in the computer room only for him to find me and blow me away then blackness as I hear voices just talking until I woke up. incidentally the most horrifying aspect of the dream was the idea that after you die all you have left is the capacity to hear and think but nothing else.

I once dreamt I was in a really badly plotted story. Of course we just happened to stumble across the guy's dad who'd been lost for years totally by accident, don't sound surprised.

Oh, and one where my dream knew it was a dream and would cease to be once I woke up so was trying to put me into a coma.

I had an experience that I'm not sure if it was a dream or I interrupted my sleep and experienced sleep paralysis. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis] I do sleep on my back and have an anxiety disorder, though I haven't experienced it any other time. I was seeing my room in the dark of night in accurate detail with a feeling of some dark entity over me and I was not able to respond in any way. Felt as though I couldn't breathe. Next thing I knew it was daylight. It was like a cheesy horror flash scene.

I had a lucid dream once. You know, the kind where you're completely aware that you're in a dream and that everything around you can be bent to the will of your imagination? Kind of like a mutant power, it was scary at first, since I wasn't in complete control of what I was imagining, kind of like when you have an unpleasant thought and can't wipe it from your mind.
However, once I took charge of my mind, it was awesome, and sadly I woke up before I could construct my own personal harem.

I hate listening to people's dreams. It's like flipping through a stack of photographs. If I'm not in any of them, and nobody's having sex, I just... don't care.

I have recurring dreams where I'm someone completely different, living in London, and usually going to watch a movie with friends. I've had so many of these dreams that I could 100% recall everything about that cinema, I've been tempted to try to make it in The Sims or Minecraft or something. If it was a real place and I walked in there I would know my way round it so well you'd think I work there.

I even know the names of the people I go to the cinema with, I'm Richard (Ricky), the girl is Natasha (Nat) and the guy is Dean (Dean), and I could probably accurately describe them to one of those police sketch people.

I know I have other dreams but these are the only ones I can remember after about an hour of waking up. I find it so weird that these dreams are so normal and so common and would like to know why my brain keeps focusing on these characters and their boring normal lives when there is mecha to pilot, bad guys to fight and just so many more awesome lives I could be dreaming about.

In threads like this I used to plug my group all about sharing dreams but... Nobody tends to do so anymore.

Anyway, the last interesting dream I had was where I was riding a dog into battle ala Narnia but I got knocked off and ended up having a sword fight with a chickadee. Can't remember much else from that.

I had a dream last night that I had a pet Goat the size of a Deer and named it St. John. I even called it John the Baptist and actively questioned whether that was blasphemous or not.

I had this crazy real feeling dream in June. It has stuck with me. I'd just come back from MegaCon in Orlando and the dream took place there. I was there with the people I was supposed to have gone with(3 of them backed out). We were leaving when I looked up at the skylights and saw these black and gold/tan fighter jets zoom by. Then they can by again firing machine guns and I hit the deck. Things got really hazy as I got up and ran to try to get to cover, and as I did I saw armored trucks(kinda like Wells Fargo trucks), also in black and gold/tan rolling up and crashing into the glass doors. It was kinda like the Two Face robberies in Arkham Knight, how it happened. Out of the trucks came what I can only describe as the bastard son of the Third Reich and ISIS. Wearing black and gold/tan fashy uniforms, these blond, blue eyed monsters marched forth, executing any survivors of the plane strafing run with Lugers letting out the occasional Allahu Ackbar! Seeing this, I ran like a scared little kid, looking for my friend Sam(the one that didn't back out on me). Right before I got to her, I woke up. I was disturbed by it for a good week

It's an always Sunny in Philadelphia quote. At the time I thought someone would recognise it and find it funny.
