Am a little distraught over Guitar Hero, but no biggie. There's still Harmonix/ Rock Band which I will just have to learn to love instead.

If I had to give a reason for disliking Activision... they're not giving me thier games for free. And if they wanted to give me a reason to love them, they'd pay me to play! I could live with that.

I don't like a company that releases the same every year with negligible innovation.

Mario went from Castle, to water pistol, to space adventure.
Fallout went from sad wasteland, to sad wasteland with multiple ending missions, more humour and Las fucking Vegas.
Assassin's Creed went from the silent middle east to bustling, vibrant italy.

Call of Duty? Don't make me laugh.

I shall continue the game!! Assuming I am still responding to post number 23...

Clearly the consumers enjoy the Call of Duty franchise. We have the fast selling games, note the 's', in video game history. We must be doing something right. Why fix what isn't broker? And hey, there are only so many theaters to set a war in. At least we left WWII finally, and if you believe the rumors, a future CoD will be set in space.

I don't hate Activision, but I firmly believe they need to have someone write Bobby's speeches for him, or get a new CEO period. Probably the latter.

Hey, we like money. You like money. Let's make a deal.

*You go to Activision headquarters where the bring you into a dark room and they proceed to beat you to death with unsold copies of Guitar Hero games*

Why I Hate Activison:
-Killed Crash Bandicoot
-Killed Spyro the Dragon
-Killed Empire Earth
-Bought out many companies
-They're CEO is either equal or greater in evil tearms to Tony Hayward, former CEO of bp.
-They Killed Guitar Hero and maybe even the entire music genre, which, is my favorite genre!
-So much more...

Spyro will forever be a shitty cash cow, and Crash went out after a stream of mediocre games...
I didn't hate them to much until after what they did to Spyro.

I don't hate Activision, I just hate Kotick. If the two were to separate all would be well.

OP ninja'd my reason...

They killed the guitar hero franchise, and they've spawned millions, if not, of retarded little 12 year olds with no sense of tactics or teamwork.

Thanks to CoD games like the old rainbow 6 series (pre vegas) are no longer made.

Arma and operation flashpoint are exceptions because they are war simulators whereas RB6 is a counter terrorism simulator.

The idea of taking cutscenes out of a game and selling them as a movie. That is dumb.
Hey, come on! At least we're not Uwe Bold. Besides, we edited the cutscenes, so it's TOTTALY different!

_______________

I hate the fact that they've left the Spyro and Crash franchises in the hands of a bunch of people who aparantly can't code anything half-decent.

How come nobody is continuing the game?
Maybe because this isn't the forum games section? It's gaming discussion, people actually like to discuss a topic here.
yeah but it was still posted as a game, I thought it should be polite if we partook rather than overran.

I'd be much less sick of the CoD series if Activision had followed more around Halo's style. A big new game every 3 years. I'd even take one game every 2 years you big greedy corporation you.

The amount of CoD's that come out is just terrible for the online market really. Nobody will ever play anything but CoD if there's a "new" one every 9 months. And I think most people know what the quotes around 'new' are for.

I'm forced to take a stance of tolerance though since Bungie, my inner fanboy's love, partnered with them... Bungie is a true indie developer now so their relation with Activision is on equal grounds so they can't be the victims of another Infinity Ward incident... but I could see Activision pressuring them into releasing a new game early once the CoD craze dies out. Which will be soon if they keep saturating the market after MW3.
