Yeah! ENN is AWESOME!

But on topic, so is this. I really liked the song, and the message behind it. You've got talent, Rebecca Mayes. You truly do.

Great song, and a nice message too. Though it's odd that such a message is coming from someone who is very physically attractive.

It's a nice surprise :)

Aye that was a nice song.

Although, I concede that if everyone looked normal, it'd be a kind of boring game, or at least affect the over all feel of it.
How can a greater variety be boring? The whole point is that you get one beautiful/desirable shape, and every character must look like this. Regardless of hair color and clothing, having only one body shape (or a select few) is already boring. Variety would then make this aspect of gaming more interesting.
Because a every teenager would wear a hoody, and would look normal, not out of the ordinary, not something to catch my eye.

It'd just be same ol' same ol'.

Video games should not strive to be as real life as possible, or else it'd suffer from the boringness of real life.

Would you like everyone in the age of 13-19 look like this?

No I'd rather something different, perhaps unusual.

I would want to play something that looked DIFFERENT from normal, it'd add some visual appeal to the game.
Is this what you see when you look at real people? Just a blank, boring, iconic, sterilized version of normal? By the Gods, real life isn't boring. It may have boring stretches, but real people are so wildly different from each other, in looks and mannerisms. Nowhere but in video games (well, movies, too) do you see such sameness. Five of that guy make a group of teens? The teens I see are tall, short, thin, fat, all with different smiles and eyes.

Basically, the only way I can understand what you're saying to me is to interpret it this way: "I don't want games to look real because I see the same shit every day in my life, and I want to see things I don't always see."

If that's true, then you need to get out and life a little, pay attention more. People aren't always nice, they can be dangerous, but they are interesting!

The usual excellent piece. Really enjoyed this one for the message, but also on its own merits.

My favourite of your songs yet, I like how you are giving yourself a wider leash to work on than just a single game. So much more creative and more relevant to every day life, not just games. Brilliant work!

When given the option to customize a character, I try to make them look like monsters, not models. My guy in Saint's row 2 recently had his cheekbones sticking out of his face like an ant's mandibles.

EDIT: to be clear, I don't mean the actual bones, but the area of his face considered cheeks being ridiclously sized in proportion to the rest of his mishapen head.

I think I need to clarify.

I want people to look like they don't normally do, to have a wide diversity INCLUDING what we have. People in certain groups don't always be that diverse, and I'd LIKE it to be different from what I see everyday.

Great video, Rebecca Mayes! :D

Really thought provoking- maybe you should do more of these occasionally as well as reviewing games through the medium of song (which I also enjoy)

I really liked this one. In a lot of games it kinda makes sense for the main character to be a fit, athletic sort if only because of the actions they have to perform (even if said actions are often physically impossible) but more variety would be great.

Actually, I guess Mario is one of the better examples for the non-idealized body type. Short and chubby, dorky clothes, bulbous nose and so forth. Weird, one of the more cartoony protagonists is among the more realistic.

I really like this song. Usually her songs sound all the same.
But the lyrics in this have real depth. I like it.

Great song with a great message. Though some old time games had "Normal" People in them, they seemed to have disappeared in todays games.

I wanna see more geeky gals in games plz.

Its hard to take a female character seriously, when she has giant breasts, a smooth ass, and a cookie-cutter personality.

Best female character ever: Lucca

She knows how to put machinery to good use.... XD

But seriously, I hate standardisation. People are alway telling me I should slim down, because I'm fat, and I know, I'd be a hell of a lot more attractive if I was slim, but then I'd be more like that posing douchebag that is my older brother!
(such a waste, as he's quite smart, but just so arrogant! )

The way I see it: when people waste their time seeking physical perfection, (or more likely acceptance), (mostly due to narcissism or insecurity), they don't tend to develop their personalities much.

I'd rather have brains, and do something creative or meaningful, than have women flock around me, (even if they could make good servants XD).

I'm not saying everyone should be ugly, certainly not, as there are a lot of attractive people in the world, but its not only attractive people that meet success and go on adventures. ("Ordinary" people can do it too!)

I really like the song, good message, but the vid was just far too random for me.
