Severance: Blade of Darkness

The controls were really shitty, but the difficulty was awesome and unforgiving. Think Dark Souls/Demon Souls, but really gory (limbs flying off and blood everywhere).

And Legacy of Kain ofc :)

Legacy of Kain..so, so much.
Pretty much this.
Count me in on this idea! Maybe a little more Blood omen 2 and a bit less Defiance, I like how dark and violent the world was in that game.
New i heard it somewhere......so there is hope. :)Loved soul reaver.

THIS! Although, do you think they would redesign characters in that case? Because I can not imagine redesigned Raziel.

Also Dino Crisis. I mean come on, we have so much Resident Evils, time to give us more Dino Crisis!

Legacy of Kain, Legacy of Kain, Onimusha, Legacy of Kain, maybe Resident Evil if Capcom can grow a brain, Legacy of Kain and MediEvil.
Also Legacy of Kain.
Legacy of Kain definitely needs a reboot. It seems like the writers wrote themselves into a corner anyway.

I'd love to travel Nosgoth as young Kain again.

Dungeon Keeper definitely, also I would love to see Original War redone (with more tactical based approach to infantry), as well as Jedi Outcast/Academy actually done in a decent engine... with Psi-Ops like telekinesis *drools*

I would kill for Might&Magic VI,VII,VIII done in Skyrim style *drools some more*

Burnout.
That franchise has completely crashed this gen. Paradise was lame for omitting the Crash Junctions (probably the most interesting part of the franchise) and then they made a game of just crash junctions but it's like something I would play on my phone.
I'll throw down with this one. Paradise is an okay game, but it lacks a lot of what made Burnout Burnout. And Crash was just bloody awful.

Criterion did say they'd be making another Burnout game at some point, so here's hoping they learn.

Legacy of Kain Soul reaver,Red alert 2..a working Silent Hill HD collection. Final Fantasy 3/6..Chrono trigger. Dark Corners of the Earth. That horror game for the gamecube..with the sanity meter..the name escapes me. dude basicly any game i played with a great story but clunky controls
I think you're thinking of Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem

Personally I'd like a nice new Dino Crisis, Timesplitters and Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross. (I never got to play Cross first time around).

Yea, Paradise was a decent driving game just a bad Burnout game.
They are making another one? I thought they just worked on another driving franchise now. I've mentioned it here before but my dream game would be Burnout Revenge Blues Bros Edition: all the Burnout fun with the cars, settings, and music from the Blues Bros movie. Rubber Biscuit should be the theme music for the crash junctions. It wasn't in the movie but I love that song.

They're currently on the Need for Speed franchise. Oddly enough, basically a reboot.

There's been no specific news that they are making a new Burnout, but Criterion did say they would do another. They also said they'd like to do a Road Rash game, if I remember right.

It's possible that it's just PR, but I doubt they're completely done with the franchise.

Medievil. Hopefully Sir Dan's inclusion in 'Sony All Stars whatever it's called' means they haven't forgotten the franchise completely.
That gives me hope for Parappa.

I sort of kid. Sort of.

See I thought about this, and my only thought was; "It would be cool to have a reboot of Legacy of Kain/Dino Crisis, but they'd only fuck it up"
So, all I want now is that someone make a game, and finish it. No half arsed filler bits, no shitty undertested menu systems, no immersion breaking QTE's. Yes I'm looking at you Capcom, come on, do it right next time. Then give us more dinosaurs, proper ones, not stupid zombie-transformer ones.

TIE FIGHTER

For goodness' sake, how is such a universally praised game not top of the list for getting some much needed next gen love? imagine coupling gameplay of that depth (hell, you could make it even deeper with advances in AI) with graphics that don't make your eyes bleed, voice acting that wasn't recorded on a broom and a truly branching story line. Imagine a custom character you can walk around the mission hub, like an beautiful cross of Wing Commander and Mass Effect.

And finally, imagine the thrill of being a badass Imperial death dealer all over again. Imagine the satisfaction of outmanoeuvring a couple of thousands of polygons of HD A-Wing in an equally beautiful TIE Defender, then watching in glee as your realistic light source laser cannons obliterate the Rebel scum in a dynamically lit explosion...

Heaven.

EDIT:
This came to me while I was at work the other day. I turned to a co-worker of mine (a fellow PC gamer), and said, "Why the hell don't they remake X-Wing and TIE Fighter?!"

Modern technology, graphics, and processing power could make a reboot absolutely EPIC!

Morrowind. Beautiful world and story, but the combat system is the one thing that keeps me from playing through it again.

I know there's Morroblivion and Skywind is in progress, but I would throw money at Bethesda for an official remake.

I've got to add it to the list, Timesplitters.
I just want the graphics updated and the controls tightened up a bit but other than that i just want those amazing games back out there to be appreciated by more people.
I want to play as my dead cow carcass! I miss Timesplitters as well.

I would also like a new StarWars Battlefront. I love both of those games, but the AI could use a bit of work.

-I own Streets of Rage 2+3 on Wii and replay them constantly. I've seen walkthroughs for the fan-made remakes and it just boggles my mind how Sega refuses to back such an obvious work of pure love. Really, just buy the prototype, maybe tweaking with extra content (the branching paths, if that's what it was, was an AWESOME idea) and throw it on the online stores. Most of the work is done, so the main cost is the purchase price and budget for modding, maybe DLC. It really can't be THAT expensive and God knows Sega could use a little extra cash flow.

-I know they redid Final Fantasy Tactics for the PSP and I would absolutely pick it up if I could, but I keep thinking updated content would make this so much more fun. Why just level grind on random, pointless fights when you could include the mission system from FFT Advance where you go to the pub, pick a side-quest, and actually work through it, including unique win conditions like not using magic or knocking someone off a cliff with Dash (though without the godawful Judge system)? Better yet, use the FF12 bounty hunter mode where you randomly fight a unique character (either a beefed up stock enemy or original design) with an interesting back-story, who you can choose to kill, maybe for a special crystal skill, or spare and throw in jail for an item. While you're at it, have the Zodiac stones play a role - at least make something happen when you collect all 13 (obviously don't completely change the ending, but maybe add a special scene), or get real creative and include a system where a character can abuse the stone's power for special attacks, but forces a special boss fight (maybe a super version of a Lucavi demon) if you use them too often. Also, give concluding story arcs to special characters. Beowolf's thing ended well enough, but what happens to Agrias at the end? Cid? Cloud? Balthier? (how is he even in that time period in the first place? It's Ivalice, but I thought it was the past or something).

-Legend of Legaia: love it to death but it can get really tedious and slow. We've got the processing power where random battles aren't required anymore and can make level grinding and picking up spells easier. Also, the whole concept of choosing attack combos (Low, High, Right Hand, Left Hand) should have more of an impact on how an enemy takes damage, as well as flow more naturally into discovering super combos than having to randomly guess at them. I enjoyed the story and the 3rd act had a nice twist to the villain's reveal, but the actual dialogue needed a lot more polishing. The soundtrack is really good though with probably one of the best boss themes I've ever heard.

-Medevil: Absolutely agree. You'd think the gothic-horror aesthetic would make it more popular these days.

-Toejam and Earl and Earthworm Jim: the 2nd one for T+E is my favorite and probably the one everyone remembers if they've ever heard of the series. Both were really solid platformers with such unique, weird designs that you just don't see anymore. Especially T+E because it encouraged exploration and threw a lot of surprises at you (at some point you fight a duck riding a flying carpet, a nudist in a cardboard box, and a ghost cow - seriously, if you know a current series with that level of insanity, tell me). I wonder how that would work as open-world?

I can't imagine a redesigned Raziel either. However, a re designed Kain that doesn't look like a cauliflower I'm totally on board for.

OT: Might and Magic! The first person party based RPG is seriously lacking these days. I mean, there was Grimrock, but tbh I'd rather just go back and play 2D sprite M&M games. Which I am doing, although I'm sad to report despite previous assertions, 'The Mandate of Heaven' only says 'The Mandate of Heaven' twice in the opening sequence, or 4 times if you count the name appearing in writing.
Since I joined the Escapist every single reboot/remake thread I've given the answer for Legacy of Kain... One day I hope it happens
