What kinda movie? Ah fuck it, I'll suggest something totally random. Watched High Fidelity the other night and loved it, very smart and funny unconventional rom-com with superb performances. Alternatively, as a few people have mentioned you can't go wrong with watching anything by Park Chan-Wook or Edgar Wright.

The Millennium Trilogy of films.

The Girl with the Dragon tattoo, The Girl who played with fire, and The Girl who kicked the hornet's nest.

You can't go wrong with those, amazing films.

Just watch Oldboy already, damn you,
This person speaks the truth, Oldboy is one of the best films ever. :D

Also.. Let The Right One In. (I have to say it)

Moon is great too and ofcourse, if you want a laugh then watch Scott Pilgrim Vs The World.

The Big Lebowski, or Hobo with a shotgun. My friends had mixed reactions to the latter when I showed it to them, but the first time I saw it I laughed so hard I thought I was about to go into cardiac arrest
EDIT: Ooh, and They Live and Repo Man are AWESOME.

Highwaymen. Its a b grade movie staring Jim Caveziel and Colm Feore with Rhona Mitra. Acting isnt fantastic but honestly i loved it. The other star of the movie, is a 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Super Stock 426 Hemi. Caveziel plays a former doctor, who drives around the country in his '68 Hemi Barracuda chasing down a serial killer who uses his customized 1972 Cadillac Eldorado to kill women.

Gonna break trend here and recommend a new movie; X-Men First Class, It's about as good as comic book based movies get and a shoe in for best movie of the series.

OP likes Oldboy, it seems, but has otherwise not specified what kinds of movies would be preferred. I think, in this situation, the only appropriate response is a meme response.
*ahem*

WATCH ALL THE MOVIES!!

Honestly though, when I'm looking to add to my movie hoard, I like to take hints from IMDB's top 250 films, as well as whatever is recommended/new at Netflix.
Failing that, head to any big-box store with a giant movie section and start walking through the aisles. Make a note of the stuff that looks even remotely interesting, and get them later as you please.
Finally, just get an entire series. I'd start with a big huge series that's already ended, like West Wing.

If you want more specific recommendations:
Repo: The Genetic Opera
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Disney)
Metropolis (the anime, not the German silent film)
Office Space
The Godfather (trilogy is recommended)
Goodfellas
Scarface

OOH! Go to rifftrax.com! Learn about it, watch the samples, if it appeals, take a look through their library. Their Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Twilight series rifftrax are particularly good.

Well I hope you're happy.
You made me shoot beer out of my nose, because I was taking a drink while reading the replies, and I came across that ridiculous picture.
Now that I have stopped gagging and laughing (not a pleasant combination), I can clean up the mess.
I hope you are happy.
Hmmm...

Yes, yes I am.

I saw you in my nightmares last night. Also, my walls are smeared with blood and my wallet is gone. Damn you.

EDIT: I should probably put in another recommendation to justify this thread derailment. The Shawshank Redemption. Best movie I've ever seen, never gets old.
And with that, my work here is done.

Since you liked Oldboy (which is a great film) I suggest, like others here, to watch more by the Park Chan-Wook (IMDB can be your guide). I suggest watch JSA (Joint Security Area). The only thing is; its in Korean but a couple of early scenes have english speaking actors (non-Koreans) and they are terrible - apart from that its great.

Quite a lot of good movies already mentioned (and some bad ones) but it really depends on what you like. Some of my favourites from the last 10 years (that you may not have seen) are:

Pan's Labyrinth
City of God
The Constant Gardener
Black Swan
No Country for Old Men
There Will Be Blood
Antichrist

They are all worth seeing for very different reasons. It is always worth checking out a good doco - sometimes they end up being more entertaining than regular movies:

Grizzly Man
Senna
King of Kong (a good option for anyone interested in video games as its about two guys vying to be the greatest Donkey Kong player)

Scarim Coral

Jumped the ship
