I remember Jak II got overlooked more than I thought it would, especially being one of the few games at the time to touch on GTA style free roam in a different environment.
Also, if anybody knows the name of it, there was a sort of inline skating game, set in the future, on the PS2 demo disk from back in the day? That was cool!
I also would recommend Jack 2 even though some of the timed missions are a little ridiculous. Also, Jack 3 just because of the one part where you find out what precursors are.
Legacy of Kain: Defiance would be another big one. I don't know if you own it or not but it's worth going through at least once.
Bully. Ignore the complaints. It was hilarious. One of my favorites.
Shadowman. That's psone though. In fact, why not try games from before last generation?
Ill Bleed is one of the most fun yet bizarre games I've ever played (dreamcast). Imagine a competition/theme park that mimicks horror movies. Except these attractions can actually kill you. The game also goes from horror to humor constantly. Also, it plays like nothing else I've touched.
Claw is a platform game on the computer I played when I was really young. Think saturday morning cartoons about beast pirates. It was great because the cutscenes were like a show and even if the graphics were cartoony it was still kinda dark.
As for the question above are you sure that wasn't on the dreamcast? It sounds like something I played on the dreamcast.
