Just looking for a new game really. Been into EVE heavily and loved the Corp Teamwork in that, its probably what kept me interested. RFOnline was nice, the chip wars, having a plan of what to do, who to attack, where to defend was nice, and it had char development.

So anyway, back to the point, im looking for a game that involves character development, something MMORPG like, but has a strong push towards team gameplay, strategical, working together etc. I really like a game that allows you to evolve and develop your character.

Grateful for any suggestions, even if it doesn't match throw it on out please, im desperate :D

Got a good one for you. If you've ever heard of Freelancer, it is a singleplayer game that is the most similar to EVE online that I can think of. It is space based and free roaming. except you control your ships direction directly with the mouse instead of suggesting a direction like in eve. It is very fun and have an enjoyable storyline. Now the really cool thing about this game is how much they made modding it very easy, and there is currently a mod out called the Discovery mod. It is officially endorsed and is easily the best mod out there. The coolest thing is it doesnt change the game heavily, it just adds to it. It add 160+ new ships including all of the capital ships that you see in game but never get to fly. It also adds like 30-40 new star systems. Now what is even cooler in my mind this the fact that the Dicovery community runs their own multiplayer servers, the main one is a heavy RP server. Player factions are heavily encouraged from an RP stand point and you have people playing everything from the police forces, the military forces, trading unions, pirates, savengers, protection agencies, you name it. I personally love to every now and then get on and have some good RP fun. I was a fan of EVE but its not nearly as monotonous and like EVE the player base is usually very friendly and willing to help a new player. Hope this fills what your looking for.

I don't know much about EVE, but it looks like it may be similar to the Homeworld series. Those are some decent games.

As far as detailed, rpg style character development, look into the last two games of The Elder Scrolls series, Morrowind (3) and Oblivion (4).

Learn how to use Windows Movie Maker, get Fraps and make yourself some cool vids. Once you have about 9, then you can upload a few onto Youtube and begin your reign as dominator of a certain Genre on that site. It's what I did.

Yes, however Microsoft pulled the Freelancer Global Server, so finding a game online will be rather hard.

Hmmm, if you're really desperate, I'd suggest a game by the name of "Big Rigs". Trust me, it will entertain you for hours, just not in the way normal games do.
